Dude, I can't see into people's hearts. I just wonder why people can all seem to spell out proper names when it comes to the Mangolds or Pouhas but somehow must resort to TRich, ACro, etc. with African-Americans. My original thought was that it was just annoying.
No but you acted like a sh1thead and insinuate that its motivated by racism without knowing whats in any of out hearts? So it's driven on most of us being, ugh, white?
Tried to bring Liddy into it? My guy? Nice try m-on.
Kind of makes you the racist.
BTW, Jim Leonards teammates, mostly black, call him White Lightning. He's not crying racism, why don't you start a thread defending him?
The point, UTool, is that no one on the board calls him that. He calls himself ESmitty. You can slay me all night long, but you still haven't responded as to why only African-Americans get this treatment. I think it's fairly harmless as subconscious racism goes, but it doesn't make it right to demean people with cute nicknames.
No nimrod, they all call him ESmitty. You're a clown who is spinning trying to stir sh1t.
Why does every player that's discussed on this board become a single letter with a shortened last name? Curtis Martin suddenly was CMart, and then any thread mentioning a player (generally African-American) got a cute handle. Since when has Jonathan Stewart ever been known as JStew? D'Brick is one thing, but it's gotten out of hand. I can go one and on- Antonio Cromartie is ACo, Jericho Cotchery is JCo, if we draft Richardson, he's TRich. Why don't we call Sanchez MSan? Or decide Jim Leonhard is JLin (pun intended)? How about we call Mike Devito MDe? Enough is enough.
Can we take it back a notch people? It's gotten borderline ridiculous.
The government really should stop the test tube baby procedure... As we can all see it results in idiots being developed such as RGen...
Boy, if this thread isn't deserving of a massive facepalm....
Our linebackers: Harris, Scott, Pace, and Thomas; aren't referred to by nicknames on here. Neither are Revis, Greene, Holmes (other than the occasional "Tone"), Keller, Moore, and most of the other players on the team.
Antonio Cromartie is a lot to type out. "Cro" is much easier. And yet, I would bet that at least 50% of the time, he's referred to as Cromartie.
Jerricho Cotchery? Seriously, who the hell is typing that out? J-Co or Cotch, much better.
D'Brickashaw Ferguson. I don't think this one needs an explanation.
Mangold doesn't have a nickname on here because it's really easy to type Mangold. There's also not a cool way of shortening his name. NMan sounds incredibly dumb.
Eric Smith and Jim Leonhard don't have individual nicknames, but there are a few people on here that refer to them as "the smurfs." Also, Eric Smith's name takes about a second to type.
Curtis Martin's name is easy enough, but do you really have a problem with CMart? It's clean.
If you want examples of nicknames for white guys, just look at the Pats. BB, TB, Gronk.
