When I think of the term "complete back," being a good receiver is part of the package.

One exceptional season doesn't make for a complete back.

Lamont Jordan had the ability to be a complete back. I just don't think he had the heart or the head to be one.

He has one year left on his contract. His next one will be for BIG bucks. I think its time we see what we have in McKnight and Powell. The grass is always greener!

Stewart is great, but the Jets can't afford to lose their 3rd rounder (probably at least what it would take to get Stewart) after trading for Tebow. They need to sign a 3rd down back off the scrap heap instead like Mewelde Moore or Joseph Addai.

that pick was used already dude ... We got picks next year ... Give up a 3rd for the guy who cares. We need a back ... We won't be drafting a better back in the 3rd round next year than Stewart anyway. Go get this guy ... he's shifty, quick, and he's a threat. TS was right ... there's no way the Panthers wouldn't consider it. They have 2 potent backs aside from him.

But I believe he is on the last year of his rookie deal.
Wrong. Stewart signed a big deal with the Panthers in July. $14 million contract with a maximum value of $20 million. The deal included $10.795 million in guarantees.

Wrong! Stewart signed a five-year extension worth $36.5 million, including $22.5 million guaranteed

If my source was wrong, I apologize. I would blame my source but I forgot who I used. When I saw the thread, I remember that they had signed him earlier this summer to a long term deal.

I am puzzled that the Panthers sank so much into TWO running backs. Most teams have figured out that RBs have a short shelf life and are often easily replaced.
