Match wits with you? You are still harping on the BS story of the election being stolen. You aren't very bright.
Secondly, nobody said that law would hold up in this case. Unfortunately, because you ar enot very bright, you have listened to one side of the story that is being played all over your corrupt liberal media and made your decision.
In fact, there are probably 3 stories here - the one you have been hearing, the one the killer has and the one the evidence has been saying.
If you were bright, you would not be listening solely to the Al Sharpton's of the world and will let it play out before making a decision. Of course. Tawana Brawley probably made alot of sense to you as she destroyed a great cop and another AG's reputation on total lies.
So put down the Kool Aid and wait for the facts and not the emotions. In any case, that law does seem to go a bit far in creating possible excuses for killers.
wtf
Dude, I am not harping on the election scandal. That was a comical reference meant to be tongue and cheek. I didn't mean to hurt your conservative heart. If wanted to do that i'd simply remind you of how silly all of your candidates look fighting with each other. Also, Republicans finally realized that any other use of the word republic is usually associated with communism. Now turn on the dang news and watch what this thread is really about.
I find it funny that that was what you gathered from my initial post and then questioned my intelligence. Did I seeing you selling acid at a phish show.

I was 15 with virtually unlimited access to ice cold beer on tap, which -- in addition to being quite refreshing in copious amounts -- was easily tradeable for nickel bags of chiba. Working at Nathan's Sunrise Mall was teh awesom

Got me with that one. I was thinking more like ... Republic of China or North Korea or the old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
Nailed me +1

Ex New yorker living in the GUNSHINE since1991. Have many fire arms and there is one thing about using them. If you do, you better be sure, or your going to jail. It's going to take a little time, but the truth will come out and if this a$$clown screwed up, then to jail he will go. I don't have all the evidence, but as a person with training and education, I would never put myself in that situation.

you can thank Nebraska for giving up their coach...
The details of this case are still murky, and the spin taking place in the court of public opinion is already legion.
I like stand your ground laws. They are philosophically and morally correct. If you aren't doing anything illegal, you have a right to defend yourself, including use of deadly force, if someone is trying to do great bodily harm to you. Any rational human being should agree with that. It's one of the most basic instincts we possess.
Now, in this case, Zimmerman may be an idiot for putting himself in the confrontation. However, if he didn't instigate the physical violence and instead was the recipient of physical violence, he does have a right to defend himself, no matter how stupid his choices were leading up to that point. There's some eyewitness testimony that supports his statements to the police that Martin attacked him
By the way, Martin is not the kid in the picture anymore. He's 6'3". Like I said, there's a lot of spin playing out.
