If it fails, it will set the Jets back 5 years because they will have to draft another QB and start over.
I laugh at folks who make fun of you without seeing behind your nonsense to your true knowledge of the game.

People don't understand what you are implying in your statement that it takes time to develop a quality QB in the NFL and that it takes at least four years to see what you have in a rookie QB.

That this is NOT a defense of Sanchez but would be true of any rookie QB who starts from day 1, in the NFL...Any QB!!

The exceptions that some posters point to like Dan Marino etc., actually prove the rule that it takes time for a QB to develop.

You Patsban, I mean PatsFanTX :D is hoping that the Jets as an organization is silly enough to listen to the admittedly small minority of posters who want to prematurely jettison Sanchez and then start that whole cycle over once again!!!

People think for a moment if a person like PatsfanTX is putting up posts encouraging you to hate Sanchez and get rid of him do you think that he is doing it so the Jets can IMPROVE!!!!

I am warning you to BEWARE!!! PatfenTX does not want the Jets to beat his Pats team on a regular basis this is one thing any Jets fan should be able to discern and count on.
Indeed "elite" Eli Manning threw 25 interceptions in 2010. Hmmm perhaps there were things around Eli such as relatively new WRs and ineffective OL that contributed to that total but the facts don't matter to some folks.

People are to busy playing fantasy football GM in the real world thinking that you just ploop any QB into any situation and they are going to perform in the same manner, they won't and they don't.
Too bad the Giants didn't trade for Vince Young right before the 2007 season. That's basically what the Jets just did to Sanchez.

    Totally agree,
I doubt it would happen but lets hope Teblow is gone sometime during the draft. This 2 team bull$hit isn't gonna get us anywhere except for screwing up any chance Mark has to get in a rythm.

so before everyone was saying year 3 we will really see what you have in him........now it is year 4 let me guess the next year after we go 6-10 he will have year 5 maybe by year 10 we will see what we have after multiple 8-8 seasons.......

B-but, if we give Tebow 30% of the snaps in the wildcat opposing defenses won't know what's coming c-cuz they has to prepare for 2 different qb's.

I think in my entire life I've only seen one quarterback in the NFL ever get yanked in the middle of an offensive series. It was Scott Mitchell and the Detroit Lions in 1996. Go figure - an inept organization and an inept qb and now the Jets are actually planning to deliberately do this.

Madness and what is really frightening is that posters actually think that this is a good idea, that this is the way you develop a QB in the NFL despite the fact that no team has ever developed a QB in this manner in NFL history!!

I don't really blame Jets fans who are buying into this trade they are just being faithful homers. What drives me nuts are all these Jets fans who want to be naive and act like Tim Tebow was brought in to do everything EXCEPT become our next starting qb.

So far I've heard that Tebow's here to be H-back, fullback, tailback, tight end, backup qb, wildcat qb, special teams jack-of-all trades and lockerroom Chaplain. Everything but the idea that Woody and the NFL want Tebow to become the Jets' starting qb. No that's just nonsense conspiracy theory.

Ummmm if Tim Tebow had been drafted by the Jets in the first round after moving up to get him you are darn right I would be saying the very same thing concerning him!!!!

If he was playing behind a weak running attack, inadequate WRs and the most complicated offense in the NFL as a Jet when he came in I would be saying the same thing.

I repeat it has nothing, NOTHING to do with Sanchez, my point has always been we have to put our QB in a position to succeed and the JetTs haven't done that.

As I have said ad nauseum elsewhere a good defense does not mean you have WRs who can gain seperation from the defense or RBs who can hit holes with authority or insure that OL can protect the QB (ummm HUNTER!!).

These aren't excuses and if the Jets were to put Tebow out there and believe he could get the job done you could beat your bottom dollar that I would be arguing that the Jets should be supporting of their starting QB and Tebow time!!!!

I agree with you 100 percent, Charlie Brown, and I'm one of those who thinks Tebow's arrival is good for the Jets since he improves backup QB and provides a better change of pace when the Wildcat is called for.

However, as you will find out, if you haven't already found out, Mr Renegade's agenda is a simple one --- get rid of Sanchez and put Tebow, who he worships and has worshipped for years in as the starter immediately

It is useless to discuss this with Mr Renegade since his adoration is not something to discuss rationally.

Fortunately for you, I and 99 percent of Jet fans, the Jets management clearly recognizes that Tebow will never be a decent starting quarterback in the NFL with unfixable passing deficiencies and, despite the prayers of Mr Renegade, he will be nothing more than a useful backup to Mark Sanchez and a change of running option until he moves on to some other team, probably in 2013.

Of course, this could change only if Mark Sanchez gets injured. And we should all bow our heads and pray to whatever we pray to that that NEVER HAPPENS

How can he be a good backup Qb, yet will never be a decent starter? Seems like a contradiction.

Pretty simple really. In fact most Jet fans understand. Of course I wouldnt expect a troll from patsfans.com to be able to get it

Well, that's one way to ignore answering a valid question. Not sure how talking football is trolling, unless you only like to talk with like minded people.

I'll try again. Doesn't the definition of a good backup Qb mean that he's a capable replacement of the starter if he should go down for a game or more?

Historically....very few teams experience REAL success when their QB goes down. Yeah I know, 2009 Pats, who cares. Appears to have been a fluke. Point is Tebow brings even MORE to the table than just a back up.

How'd you like the sox beat down today?????

Great analogy! I don't see how this 2 Offense BS is really going to work and the more the take the ball out of QB's hands the harder it's going to be for him to get any type of timing and rhythm. After seeing how the Tebow Mania crap actually did have a negative effect on players in the locker room I just can't see any positives in this BS PR move.

    Huh?

You do know that the term troll is not synonymous with rival, don't you?

Actually, there are many examples of back-ups coming in for a few games and keeping the season's hopes alive. There are also many capable backups that have gone on to be successful starters in the league. Granted, it's usually not for a full year, 2009 notwithstanding. But it does happen.

The Sox getting killed when were they up 9-0 to start the 6th is just another kick to the groin. I was at the Feway Park 100 Year Celebration game and even though that 6-2 drubbing was hard to take, it was softened by the fantastic pre-game ceremony. A once in a lifetime event that fans from BOTH teams spent on their feet cheering. Our suite had 6 Yankee fans and even they were impressed with the festivities and emotions of the day. Yesterdays game, however, a total wipeout. Bobby V's gotta be feeling the heat.
