Romney Gallups into the lead

Graphic wouldn't copy over but it is Romney 48 - Obama 43 among registered (not likely) voters. Take it for what it is worth in Mid-April but it is a stark contrast to last month's Obama 50- Romeny 45 poll.

Election 2012 Trial Heat: Obama vs. Romney

    Among registered voters

These are the results when registered voters are asked: "Suppose the presidential election were held today. If Barack Obama were the Democratic Party's candidate and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney were the Republican Party's candidate, who would you vote for Barack Obama, the Democrat or Mitt Romney, the Republican?" Those who are undecided are further asked if they lean more toward Obama or Romney and their leanings are incorporated into the results.

There are a couple of recent polls (Pew and CNN) that have Obama in the lead. Regardless, it's undeniably a close race at this point.

Not sure where you've been, but both have been campaigning for several years.

At what level? A national one? Certainly not... Campaigning on behalf of fellow GOP'ers and giving a motivational speech here and there isn't exactly what I was driving at...

Not to mention, if even remotely true should be an indictment of the sitting POTUS anyway...

Romney has been actively pursuing a bid for POTUS since at least 2006. You make it seem like he's new to the scene.

Romney has been running for President for what the last 5-6 years? It's going to be a tight race, but the more Romney speaks the worse it will get for his campaign.

Maybe because the GOP has finally accepted being stuck with the guy they do not want?

We told you the voice from the religious right wasn't as loud as it used to be and Romney would get the nod months ago...

You keep trying to deflect arguments that the crazies run the party... It's obviously not the case...

After 5 or 6 years of trying it's only gonna get worse for him when he gets the nomination?

Hope Romney doesn't read your post, he might get discouraged.
