GM's troubles were delayed not solved. The American tax payers severely overpaid to keep GM afloat and the bust of a government project that is the Volt costs the tax payers $250k/car and no one wants to even buy one for $40k. Ridiculous. How can you think that is a win?

What would have been the cost to taxpayers to pay out all of unemployment to the job losses in the auto industry and the little industries that sell to them and buy from them?
And what about all of the lost tax revenue from all of those folks not getting a paycheck?
And all of the revenue losses to Medicare, Medicaid and SS?
All of those job losses would have cascaded thru the economy like a S#!T thru a tin horn.
States would have lost tons of revenue and would have laid-off more teachers, cops and firemen.
