    Seattle Road Trip Thread.

Anyone planning on visiting Seattle to see the Jets play the Seahawks, please respond in this thread. Im looking at reserving some blocks of rooms at downtown hotels, including the one where the Jets are staying.

We are also putting together plans for a tailgate as close as possible to Century Link Field.

We will have tickets available as well (A limited number of discounted tickets will be available)

Group tickets is a option if we have enough people.

If you have kids, Century Link Field is a Family Friendly stadium. Most local fans are friendly. Just don't start shouting F-Bombs, because they can and do throw people out for that.

If you are making the trip, try to plan a couple days in town, as there are a lot of things to see and do.

    Mt. Rainier
Pike Place Market (The Original Starbucks)
Tillicum Village (So worth going to)
    Pubs and more pubs
    Sci Fi and EMP museum
    Pacific Science Center
    Space Needle
    Snoqualmie Casino
Skiing at Mt. Baker (very possible to have snow at that elevation)
    The U district
    The Fremont Troll

Seattle is a city with lots of things to do and there is always something going on. As a matter of fact, the Pacific Northwest is a great place to visit anytime.

Where in Seattle are you? We live in Issaquah. A group of us have been trying to find more Jet fans to meet up on sundays to watch the games.

    Thumbs up

    Hey Jon,
I'm in for the game & BBQ 100%.
And if there is decent skiing on Mt Baker then, I'm coming up a day early to ski, for sure. The skiing season was so bad this year, I'm dying for more snow time. I had a real good time at Mt Baker last time I went (maybe 5 years ago).
    Easy drive there too...

Very interested! The wife went to grad school at SU. Great reason to visit!

My fiancee is from there, have spent a lot of time there recently. Can't say enough good things about it. Saw the Red Bulls play there last year, fantastic stadium downtown.

Other stuff to see, Mario Batalli's dad's butcher shop. And if you fancy nuclear hot BBQ, go meet "the Man" at Dixie's BBQ in Bellevue.

Great City, spectacular nature in the Cascades.

Screw the 4-12 loser football game, I would not even bother wasting the precious time out there going to see this lousy team.

I'll more than likely be around for this game (Seahawks season ticket holder). I'll wish you guys luck during this season, just not against us.

Small heads up though, there typically isn't a ton of tailgating at the stadium (lack of parking for starters).

Thats why were already at work on a plan. Its harder now because the North Lot is out of the question because of construction. (The Hawks sold off 1/3 of the lot for condo development)

There are lots on the south side of Safeco, and thats the primary focus.

Shoreline is a nice area too. I get up that way once in a while on business. Today we were walking all over downtown. Great weather in the city today!!

I started designing a website with information about Hotels, the tailgate, things to see and do in Seattle Etc. If you want to be in a location with easy access to everything in Seattle, I recommend the Westin. Its across the street from the Monorail to Seattle Center and the Bus tunnels to the Stadium, tailgating etc. If you want to check out the South Lake Union area, just go across the street and ride the SLUT to Lk Union. The Waterfront and Pike Place Market are also very close by.

I love how you can "ride the S.L.U.T." in Seattle! And while I would love to make it for the game, on another continent these days and will likely have to miss. Seattle is one place I need to see though. A few friends live there and my brother and wife did for years and have nothing but good things to say about the area.
