Jets considering bringing Braylon back - PFT 4/19
Jets still considering bringing Braylon back

Posted by Michael David Smith on April 19, 2012, 2:27 PM EDT

Last year the Jets decided they didn’t have any use for wide receiver Braylon Edwards anymore, letting him leave for San Francisco, where he was a non-factor before getting cut in December. But that doesn’t mean the Jets wouldn’t be open to having Edwards return this year.

In fact, Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum said shortly after the season ended that he would consider bringing Edwards back, and he reiterated that today.

Bob Glauber of Newsday reports that Tannenbaum cited Edwards’ intense practice habits as one of the qualities the team likes about him and added, “I would not rule him out.”

Edwards is undeniably talented, and at age 29 he should still have some good years left in him. He’s currently rehabbing a knee injury but is expected to be healthy in plenty of time for training camp. Tannenbaum said that after the Jets evaluate their post-draft roster, there might be a place for Edwards.

“I don’t expect us to sign anybody before the draft,” Tannenbaum said. “We’ll see where that goes heading into May and June.”
We'll see how the draft plays out, but I'd definitely be happy with bringing back Braylon.

No shock..... they missed his big play ability (stretch field) and has size to go over middle and a threat in red zone.. (and he can block!)

he is coming off injury and is not drawing a ton of interest.... Tanny likes a bargain and a healthy Braylon who is still in his prime can pay dividends.....

Just shows that Bray is still on Tanny's mind.

Healthy knee = return of The Beard.

    As per ROTOWORLD

Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum is not ruling out signing free agent Braylon Edwards.
Tannenbaum cited Edwards' "intense practice habits" and history of production as positives. "I don't expect us to sign anybody before the draft," added Tannenbaum. "We'll see where that goes heading into May and June." Edwards is certainly worth a roll of the dice with Chaz Schilens penciled as the No. 2 receiver.

I never understood why we let him walk, or why everyone was so convinced Holmes was better.

I'd welcome Braylon back with open arms.

don't worry. 90210 has Chaz ranked as the #8 WR in the NFL.

Not if we somehow get a WR in the 1st or maybe even the 2nd. If we don't draft a WR in round 1 or 2 Bray will be back no question.

That means crap!!! If he stays, it's a diffferent situation all together. He went to a new team, new offense, got hurt and never fit in, etc. Had he stayed who knows if he still gets hurt.

How do you know that he would have stayed healthy here? You don't know if he would have stayed healthy.

Because of that, you cant criticize the decision. Nobody can say anything about it. Its a fallacy of the predetermined outcome.
