if you make VERY harsh penalties, i think people would stop.

if i got caught and lost my license for 3 months and had to pay 1000 bucks id be pissed.

if the second offense was 10 months and 5000 i would never, ever rish it again

    furthermore::::

As detailed by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, an investigation into a Jetstar flight JQ57 between Darwin to Singapore discovered that the airline captain failed to lower the landing gear during the first attempt at a landing as he was too busy with his mobile phone. While the incident occurred nearly two years ago, the details of the investigation were released this week. According to the report, the captain neglected to turn off his mobile phone prior to the 220-seat Airbus 320 taking off in Darwin, Australia. When the plane began an initial descent into Changi Airport within Singapore, the captainís phone started beeping with new text message alerts when the plane was in between 2,500 to 2,000 feet off the ground.

Pilot TextingThe captain turned his attention to the phone during the descent and the co-pilot attempted to get the captainís attention. After trying to alert the captain twice, the co-pilot switched off the auto-pilot during landing, but started to notice that something was wrong when the plane was just 1,000 feet off the ground.

[QUOTE=SAR I;4440212]Forget texting. You should see the people who drive with their dogs in the car.

Dog in the back seat? They sloooooooow down when making turns, we practically ride up their asses and knock bumpers all because they couldn't life Woofy home and didn't secure him properly. Can't make a normal-speed turn or he might get hurt. So better to slow down and risk an accident.

Dog in the front seat? My favorite. I've seen men and women with 50 pound dogs between their legs, between their eyes and the steering wheel. I can't even explain their rationale. I've been at red lights, complete stop, staring at a woman with a dog whose paws are on the steering wheel and she thinks I'm the one with the problem.

Texting is bad, but Dogging is worse.

Small dog owners, they are the worst.

Do you mean people like Stokes who own a dog?

  4. #44
If the dog is hanging out the drivers side window sitting on the drivers lap then its definitely a distractin and police should be able to write the driver a ticket. I never understood this practice. Who the hell cares that you own a small little rat lap dog anyway.

    It's the driving "exams".

I mean...seriously. Take a driving test in NY and what do they test you on the most?

F*cking parking?! They should call it a parking test.

They make you drive around a city block...and then hand you a license and say "woot! You're now free to merge onto the GW from the Deegan at 5pm on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.

The don't test you on ANYTHING actually related to driving. Make a 3 point turn?!? WTF is that?

Bottom line is that 60% of the people on the road lack the hand/eye coordination to drive.

I remember once offering my PS2 controller to my mom and telling her to play a lap of a racing game. She said "Are you crazy?! I can't play that!".

Really? REALLY? You just drove around in a REAL LIFE car. Why the hell can't you do it with a fake digital one???

Unless he was in a Jeep Wrangler with the doors removed, how did you know his pants were around his ankles?

    Yes, they are.

They let their little animals run around the interior of their cars, jumping around, yapping, rubbing their wet, assy noses on the windshield, putting their paws on the steering wheel, licking their owners eyes.

The fact that, in a driving sense, this is akin to an ultralight chimp attack is lost on the canine apologists.
