Without a single down of football being played. You crave what you can't have I guess.

Don't lie, two weeks ago you were praying that someone else dropped so the Jets didn't have to reach for him though.

    What about me?

I went from praying we'd pass on him to praying someone else is dumb enough to buy the hype and make the reach...

    Hopefully Dallas pulls the trigger...

Barron is an option at no. 16.. without question..

    Eagles and Cowboys have interest...

players most likely selected prior to no.. 16

Offensive.. Luck, RG3, Kalil, Richardson, Blackmon, tannehill, floyd, Reiff, Decastro

Defensive.. Claiborne, Coples, Ingram, Cox, Brockers, Poe, Barron

Like: Perry, Glenn, Upshaw after no. 16

This board has an eerie similarity to a Jet board I was on in 2002 when we needed a safety but everyone was saying don't pick Ed Reed, too slow, blah, blah, blah. Not many people on the board wanted to "reach" for him. Apparently the Jets felt the same way and picked Bryan Thomas at 22. Reed went 24 to the Ravens.

Totally agreed. Can't trade up, but will waste no time drafting him if he slips.

    Fixed!

Jets aren't drafting OL early in draft, and especially not the first round.

According to a report, Joey Clinkscales has hinted that Barron is not an ideal safety fit for the Jets.

Either trade up for Ingram or draft an OL player like Adams or Glenn.

We already have two, expensive Strong Safeties on our current roster. We need a Free Safety not another undersized linebacker.

    LOL. Perfect response.

The Jets could do a lot worse than Mark Barron.

I agree with the OP's point. A month or so ago, Barron would have been the second coming of Heyward-Bey if the Jets took him at 16.
