Things just getting better

First of all the Secret Service, then the extravagant spending by the GSA.
The incompetence of this Administration knows no bounds.

Of course its all the fault of this administration.

To recap: anything that has gone wrong from 08' to present is 100% the fault of Obama (D). Anything positive that may happen from 08' to present is either sheer luck, residual affects of the Bush Administration or the ghost of Ronald Reagan.

Got it.

Did Biden come out in support of Secret Service members being able to procure prostitutes? I must have missed that speech.

I do remember Cheney giving many speeches promoting torture.

I hate this administration as much as the next guy but I just can't imagine that this has anything to do with Obama or any of his appointments just as the Navy scandals had nothing to do with Bush.

No but Biden said that if he had a daughter she would look like the Colombian prostitutes.

Obama is in charge is he not? Got it! Bush was to blame for the mess he caused but Obama accepts no blame which has been typical of his administration.

Obama is not directly in charge of the Secret Service agents. His job is not to make sure agents are not sleeping with prostitutes.
Bush was responsible for the stupidity of the Iraq War because he authorized it and supported it refusing to listen to any criticism.

Why should he accept blame for something that he has little control over (the secret service mess)?

Same reason he takes credit for things he has nothing to do with (i.e. increased oil production from drilling on private lands)

If I remember correctly, the left blamed Abu Ghraib on Chimpy McHaliburton Bushhitler and his evil puppeteer Dick Cheney, but of course Obumbles is above the blame for any scandals tied to his administration.....

Okay, then its about playing politics. The other side blames you for anything they can make stick and you take the credit for anything that you possibly can. It is misleading and counter-productive but it goes on all the time, and has been going on for a while now.

But then this thread is not a legitimate discussion about the merits of his time as president; its a simply a regurgitation of of our favorite flavor's talking points.

Virtually everything is politics. But go back to the 08 campaign when the New Messiah was making idiots faint in the crowd over his promises to change everything, and compare it now to how virtually everything HAS changed -- for the worse -- and take it from there.

The hype behind Obama was two-fold;

1. There was a lot of excitement by many Americans to see a person of color become the president. I am not passing judgement one way or the other, merely stating a fact. Seeing Obama sworn in mean't a great deal to a lot of people who understand the reality about American history.

2. The overwhelming majority of Americans were so appalled by the tactics and tone of the Bush Administration that they truly wanted, what they hoped would be, a change. This fact is backed up by any reputable poll taken during the lead up to the election. Sorry conservatives but you helped create the Obama monster by allowing Karl Rove to convince you that George Bush would be a good president.

Only a fool would believe that Obama is completely responsible for the state of our economic situation. He takes part of the blame. The abomination in office prior to him takes some. And then you have world factors that are out of the control of any president. That is the truth, although you won't be hearing that on our favorite propaganda outlets.
