We have a saying: you can laugh about anything, just not with anyone. This being the internet, you have no idea of the intentions of the guy making the remark (like FF2's example at the funeral).

I'll laugh at anything and found some of the remarks plain dumb. Not offensive because I didn't know the guy, just dumb.
I don't get offended very easily but I do agree that I thought some of the comments were dumb.

Then again, after reading JI for a long time, it's pretty obvious that we have more than our fair share of guys that either wear paper hats to work or should.

So, you think we have a lot of surgeons here?

To lighten up the mood. Here are some examples of black/dark/gallows humor from my own memory and for which it is not too soon. The for last one you might need Google unless you grew up in the UK or Ireland.

What kind of wood doesn't float? Natalie

What goes at 180MPH and burns? Niki Lauda

What is full of holes and answers the door? Ross Mcwhirter

    Everyone's an expert.

I've lost someone to suicide and worked in mental health professionally. It's usually more about just not being able to take the physical and/or mental pain any longer, usually after a looooong time, than it is about not wanting to live or not caring about who you leave behind. For Seau, who knows? Other than you, of course.
