[B]Florham Park, N.J.[/B] - Over the past three years we've heard Rex Ryan continually preach about, "playing like a Jet" and what that means to him and should mean to Jets fans. It was a tactical move as part of Ryan's desire to change the culture of the Jets. Skeptics throughout the national football media may have their doubts about whether or not Ryan has been successful at this, but these rookies learn early and have now become the first to mention the 'playing like a Jet' mantra. I know it's ultimately about the players, but it's the COACHES that get the production out of those players.
For as much as we talk about all the "holes" this team has, I really think we have more talent than we've shown recently. Obviously I'm more psyched about Dunbar than Sparano (based on reputation), but if these guys can make the sum GREATER than the parts (instead of vice-versa), I really think we could be on to something:yes:
The sleeper might be this Sanjay guy from OAK -- seems to have had good success with "raw talent".
I believe Rex has been doing that since day one with our defense (making it look better than it actually is), so I'm glad to hear he's planning on playing a more direct role with it once again . . .
