Thread: NFL.com - The 5 Best Free Agent WRs (Guess who is #1)
You left out the four words that prefaced these comments: "On to the predictions..."

That's all it can be at this point.

No one knows right now how Hill, Schilens, Turner or White will develop this off-season.

The only definites are Holmes and Kerley.

Hill will be given every benefit of the doubt but no one knows for sure right now if he can be the #2.
If they dont sign Braylon Edwards they will be in deep trouble at WR this season.
I'm waiting for an updated photo of him. Not one from 15 years ago. I think I may have found one...
I'm sick of the daily Braylon talk. It's May 8th.

But think about this. Right now doesn't it seem Braylon would be the #4 WR on the Jets behind Holmes, Hill and Kerley (as the slot). So if he is 100% healthy why would he go to a team as a #4?
If he signed and season started in a week, he'd be #2 WR until Hill beat him out on the field.

I disagree he would easily be the #1.

The Stephen Hill signing killed the small chance Braylon had of returning here. why cant u guys understand this?

Simple, ... because Hill is an unrefined rookie ... Unless he is Randy Moss, Anquan Boldin or Chris Colinsworth ... his stat are expected to be pedestrian. Even Calvin Johnson had mediocre numbers as a rookie ... why is this hard to understand ??

Yeah, our season is going right down the sh*tter if we don't sign a guy who had 15 catches and zero TD's last year...and is coming off a knee injury.

Limited number of roster spots for WRs, and limited number of WRs that can be on the field at any given time. If you take away reps from Hill, you could slow down his development. If he will take a year to develop, then we could get by signing Braylon...

I don't think we should given Braylon's recent injury.. If he is still rehabbing, that worries me.. Why not let a fast WR take the reps... why force Braylon in there? We don't even know if he has any speed.

I don't understand why so many focus on last season for Edwards as if that's the only barometer.

Yet, people who are quick to defend Sanchez focus on 2009 and 2010 and the two AFCCG's and discard last season as an aberration.

Edwards was pretty damn good in 2010 and IMO was a big reason the Jets advanced as far as they did.

What about what he did here in 2009-2010. Without him in 2011 where did we wind up?

I'd rather have Edwards than any of the above.
