You do not need a grill pan for 16-20 count shrimp or larger, and you want the char.

Anything smaller I never grill. Besides, I rarely use a grill pan--only for very small veggies, never on the protein or large veggies as I prefer a direct char on those.

And an aluminum pan is perfectly fine on the grill when you want to saute, for example, the peppers and onions for sausage, peppers and onions, or mushrooms in butter. Makes perfect sense since you want to retain all the juices and you can just throw it out when done.

As to soutside's comment, you can never have too much butter.

One time, after I had had a few, I bent down to turn off the gas tank while the grill was still hot.

    You guessed it.

    Face char.

That's how Quinton Coples got his brands.

    True story.

    Do you think they're treatable?

Maybe I'm drunk and not picking up on sarcasm, but my post was before yours so maybe you should scan the board. Or add something moronic like "this guy gets it. "

I used 12 count Shrimps. The fell between the grill holes.

What you want to do is burn the rest of his skin to raise the overall level to the brand level. Then, sand it down.

    12 count are ginormous. I'm about a 10 count.

I thought my sarcasm, backed by date-stamping, was obvious.

Apparently, I am not drunk enough.

Wow this thread did a 180.

Looks great Stokes. I'm a little spooked about your backyard though. It looks so much like mine that I did a double take. The patio is almost identical, same yard layout, style, trees. Maybe the same guy did it... especially possible since we're both Bergenites.

Stokes, glad to see you are a Weber guy.

You probably already know about this place, but you may want to check it out.

http://tvwbb.com Your post reminded me of the ones I see on this site.

    BTW, nice shrimp dish.
