I grew up at a time when you had to dance to this stuff or you didn't get chicks. Many awkward moments to her songs for me, but it was often worth it.

Yes, those dog days of summer in Vermont when it gets up to 78 degrees is unbearable.

Same here. I came back one year from college and all my hometown friends were going out dancing! I was appalled.

I usually needed at least 6 beers before venturing out onto the dance floor.:(

    yup

I was out there thinking everyone was staring at me. i calmly told myself it was my imagination, regrouped and then looked around again. yup, they were staring at me.

    you either danced, or southsided.

Used to go Roller Skating and they would play her song Last Dance, last. And like Timmmy only went to meet girls. I was into the rock, and my favorite was KISS and we would make fun of the guys that liked that crappy disco............. uh, nevermind.

A permanent fixture in my gay uncle's music playlist. Seen some strange stuff at his parties whenever 'bad girls' would come on

    RIP

How is this for a flashback. In 1979 I saw Donna Summer in Concert at Great Adventure. I won tickets on the Uncle Floyd Show to Great Adventure.

Donna Summer was almost washed up in 1979 as Disco was dying and Rock and New Wave was coming back big. Unlike rest of Disco stars Donna Summer reinvented herself and became a big pop star in 1980s and on to 1990s.

They say there are no small audiences only small performers. Well Donna was only playing for people who happend to be at the park and it was something like 3pm and maybe only 300 hundred of us watching her. She did the concert like she was in sold out Madison Square Garden. Damm that lady could sing. Cheap mikes, open air in and amusement park. She was the best.

But not as often as he did when Donna Summer was popular!
