What has been your favorite/least favorite offseason move by the Jets?

Of all the personnel moves -- signings, releases, coach hirings, draft picks, front office shakeups, etc. -- the Jets have made this offseason, what has been your favorite and your least favorite?

Favorite

Hiring of DL coach Karl Dunbar ... Dude had the best DLs in Minnesota and guys are already raving about his teachings. Probably no Jared Allen on this team, but some very good pieces, including some loads up front. We have a rookie Coples who is expected to start. plus Mo Wilk, Dixon, Ellis and MTV are all young (and expected to contribute) and still mostly raw and need a real DL coach to get them up to speed. Let's face it, the Jets are going to win with defense and it starts up front. I love this hire.

Least favorite

Signing of Laron Landry ... As of now, this is my least favorite. When healthy he's a good player (in the run at least), but who knows if he will be healthy. He's not with the team so they aren't seeing him up close, so do the Jets even know? I guess he doesn't have to be at OTAs, but why not be there with your new team? He has a history of doing this -- guys who do this always kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Though I am not on the team so I guess it doesn't matter. The contract isn't bad, but he's still getting at least 1.5M guaranteed I think (?).

Undecided about Sparano, but I wanted Callahan gone for a long time, so I'm happy for that. My initial reaction to Sparano was "WTF?"

In all honesty, I wanted to unload Brick and trade up somehow to get Matt Kalil.

My number one beef has always been the OL. Nothing has changed but the coaches, so the situation remains to be seen.

The Tebow circus hasn't reached full swing yet. It'll be entertaining no matter what - love him or hate him - but he's ready to contribute so that's a plus.

It's no surprise that people are listing Tebow as their "least favorite" move, but let's be honest -- if the "worst" thing your team did in the offseason was trade a 4th round pick for a guy who will definitely contribute right away in SOME form, and potentially contribute in others (due to injury, circumstances, etc.), that's a pretty good off-season . . .

Personally:

MOST FAVORITE -- stacking up the D (players AND coaches)

LEAST FAVORITE -- assuming OL is OK

Giving more money and a extension to a JAG QB you think we would have learned from the pennington debacle that stole money from the team for years now we get another in sanchez.

way in the distance
not being able to trade down for another pick or two
not being able to land a speed back
not being able to move holmes

not getting that TE stud run blocker

1. Tebow (cant believe I am saying this .. but I am a believer now)
2. Draft
3. Coaching Changes ... why is Cavanaugh still here ?????

Least Favorite ...

1. Keeping Holmes.
2. Extending Sanchez ... although it was a good move for the cap ... so maybe this should not be on the list ... and it gives him this year to turn things around.
3. No RT ???????

If the only thing Tebow does is contribute to the Wildcat, then great... Only he's already done more than that. He's submarined the 2012 season. He's the definition of a circus sideshow distraction on a team that needed anything but.

Your #1 reason BY FAR is not even correct. That is not how the contract went down...

It's a prediction -- obviously it might not come true.

But I'm very confident that a QB controversy will ruin the season and drive more people (coaches, FAs, etc.) running in droves away from the Jets. Rex has created a circus, and when that backfired we went out and brought in the biggest circus sideshow of all.

And this isn't even taking into account that Tim Tebow is a flat out terrible QB. I'll leave it at that so I don't highjack the thread, but I just don't beleive there is a very good chance the Tebow trade works out well for us in the end.
