I've always been curious Ken.

If you truly believe other Nations of the world have gotten it MUCH better and more "right" than we have in the States, why wouldn't you emigrate to those nations? I mean just out of pure personal interest? You're an exceptionally well-educated professor and medical doctor, if I recall, surely your talent would be desired in Sweeden or Norway.

You seem to truly hate ~50% of your fellow Americans, find much about our Nation, it's heritage and it's people high objectionable.

    So why stay?

Honest question, as it truly confuses me.
Liberals always get asked this question.

This is our home too. And just like your party, we see things that could be done better, sometimes learning from other nations - just like the founding fathers looked around the world and throughout history for good ideas.

WHYIZIT that people come from EVERY corner of the earth to be treated at U.S. hospitals? Don't forget, I live in Houston which has the biggest medical center in the world and has the best hospitals in the world. There are thousands, yes thousands of foreigners here every week, Germany is a lot closers for them.
Liberals always get asked this question.
Because in general, liberals find more about this country to be "bad" and more about other countries to be "good".
This is our home too.
A home many of you loathe, full of people many of you loathe and detest in the majority.
And just like your party
The Libertarian Party?

Specificly, the Soviet Union circa 1919. Aye, we know.

You think? You think I loathe you, Ken, Safety, para, Winston, PK or IJF?

If you think that FF, then you and I have misread each other quite badly. :dunno:

The only people in the United States I hate are those here illegaly, and those who would change the system outside of the Law. Liberals? No mate, I don't hate liberals.

But I do think a few of the liberals here, like Ken, truly do hate a majority of those on the right.
Because in general, liberals find more about this country to be "bad" and more about other countries to be "good".
That's a misconception. You happy with the way our country is? Does one hate America if one answers "No" to that question?
A home many of you loathe, full of people many of you loathe and detest in the majority.
Detest the majority? Population or electoral college majority? Because I'm pretty sure there are more Democrats than Republicans strictly on population.
The Libertarian Party?
Ok, are you voting Romney or Gary Johnson?
Specificly, the Soviet Union circa 1919. Aye, we know.
What crap. Is Germany, the uber-socialists, the Soviet Union circa 1919? How about the UK? How about Canada?

Keep throwing around reactionary labels and statements, call me a communist that wants to "turn this country into the Soviet Union" because I want a return to Clinton era tax brackets and universal healthcare. As if all countries that have higher taxes and socialized medicine are suddenly the Soviet Union.

    What a crock of sh*t.
That's a misconception.
In your obviously biased and defensive position.
You happy with the way our country is? Does one hate America if one answers "No" to that question?
Yes, I'm pretty happy with the US vs. other Nations.

No, one does not hate the US purely because they're unhappy with it in some way, but it does raise the question as to why one would stay in a place they're so unhappy with.

And when someone is unhappy with almost every aspect of it, including it's founding documents, economic system and freedoms, then yes, it's safe to say they hate it.
Because I'm pretty sure there are more Democrats than Republicans strictly on population.
Really? I'd ask for a source, but I'm sure some liberal rag or another has made that claim at one point or another....and we know how much faith you ahve in the accuracy and honesty of your beloved media, don't we.
Ok, are you voting Romney or Gary Johnson?
Probably Johnson, not that it matters.

Doesn't take more than one guess to know who you're voting for, this election, next election, every election.....

First off, you haven't answered this:

Is Germany, the uber-socialists, the Soviet Union circa 1919? How about the UK? How about Canada?
In your obviously biased and defensive position.
I'm biased because I don't think liberals should want to move out of America?
Yes, I'm pretty happy with the US vs. other Nations.

No, one does not hate the US purely because they're unhappy with it in some way, but it does raise the question as to why one would stay in a place they're so unhappy with.

And when someone is unhappy with almost every aspect of it, including it's founding documents, economic system and freedoms, then yes, it's safe to say they hate it.
You're happy with the drug war? The current economic system - however you want to describe it? You're happy with the freedoms you have or don't have now? You're happy with immigration policy? You're happy with the Obama drone program?

Sh*t, you sure as hell fooled me from your posts.
Really? I'd ask for a source, but I'm sure some liberal rag or another has made that claim at one point or another....and we know how much faith you ahve in the accuracy and honesty of your beloved media, don't we.
I'll find one.
Probably Johnson, not that it matters.
A vote for Romney is not a vote for Libertarianism, is why I asked.
Doesn't take more than one guess to know who you're voting for, this election, next election, every election.....
No it doesn't take more than one guess, in this election at least.
Funny, thats exactly what I think of most Liberal Utopians policy ideals. What a crock of unrealistic ****. Funny, eh..
How are socialized medicine and a clinton era tax rates "utopian crocks of sh*t"? They've already been done...

How many Americans that are not of Indian decent are going to the 3rd world to get an operation? You couldn't pay me to do that.

A friend of mine who was born here but is of Indian decent had a 6 month old son. His in-laws were going back to India to visit for 3 months. They took his son with them to meet the family and he wasn't happy about it. While they were there the kid got the rhinovirus, which when you get it here you are out of school with the runs for 2 days, over there the doctor said he had a 50/50 chance! 50/50!!! Even if you are reasonable and realize that the poor there probably account for the majority of the deaths that is still insane! Yeah great medical system.

The horrid economy woes are wordwide so I don't see how Obama should be blamed wholesale for it or for not stopping it on a dime (no pun intended) in the US.

As far as media slants, Fox heavily leans to the right while MSNBC heavily leans to the left. I think most Americans realize this so what real effect does their bias have? MSNBC won't dissuade you from voting for a Repub if adhere to their platform while the same can be said about Fox and those who believe in the Dem philosophy.
First off, blah blah blah....
I'm not playing endless meandering nitpicking wall of text with you yet again Safety. It's unproductive, frankly, especially from a position not supported by a professional propaganda arm (the media) or an endless array of professionally created, tested and approved party talking points.

That, and I think you are a liar. You say you want one thing, when you realy want more. You'll simply take the one thing now, then demand the enxt thing right after, and burn, one way or the other, anyone who would deny it.

Today's American Liberals (generally) dislike/hate alot about our country, how it works, and how it came to be, etc. This is evidenced by an endless litany of posts that say exactly that, albeit often with an attempt to cover that ghatred in code words and phrases, for fear of being called out on their hatreds and intolerence.

American Liberals, like Obama and most liberal posters here, want to "fundamentally transform" the country into some Super-Sized Multicultural Version of Norway, with dreams of even greater All-World Utopian Socialism and State Power over the individual. They do not belive in nationalism, or individualism, or personal responsabillity.

They believe in Utopian Collectivism, in one form, or another. The State dominant over the individual in all ways.

I will not debate your little points. Every little point of modern American liberalism is simply an entry point or rung on the ladder in a move towards greater State power, less personal freedom and liberty, and a more Socialist Tyrany State existence.

And as such, not one foot need be given, not the small things debated. Protection of the individual from the power of the State and it's collectivist backers is always rightious.

Enjoy voting (as always) for the Party, for Obama, proof that liberals are liars and hypocrites of teh highest order when they support him based on ANY of his millitary/defense/security actions.
Do you own your company all by yourself?
I have a company that I own and run with 2 partners. A sales business in the manufacturing industry. We have warehouse personal, sales people and a bookkeeper. In addition as part of an investment partnership of private I have a piece of 2 hospitality businesses which I don't get involved with day to day operations. Each of the Hotels employs just under 50 full time employees. (They are under 50 by design in order to avoid the Obamacare penalties). In addition I have partnership in 2 more 100 unit apartment complexes. I put up my money and took the risk. The hotels we own were built from scratch by my group. They took 3 years to construct. It could have been built in one year if not for the regulations and restrictions that government threw at us at every turn. Environmental surveys, permits, EPA regulations, etc. We estimated 10% of the $55 million price tag was spent simply cutting through red tape.

I owned my first 4 buildings in Downtown Brooklyn by age 24. No help from anyone by the way. I took advantage of the easy lending standards of the early 2000's to buy all 4 in one shot. At the time I was making 60K a year 2 years in to my working career. I still basically lived at home. Since then I ended up flipping those properties and investing in others. I have had my share of flops and disasters. Its part of being in the game. In the end of the day I am proud of what I've accomplished. My father (now retired) was a mechanic, my mother is a teachers aid. I had little help.

Understand that when I discuss business and the economy it comes from experience. I know for example that no company in America wants to open a business in a Forced Unionization State. Not one. They do it only when it is absolutely necessary. Why? What type of investor wants to run a business where there relationship with their employees is adversarial by structure? This is reality. I know of all the good that small businesses bring their communities. I also understand the mindset of the investor class. This is the class of people that are innovators and creators. I never would go in to a venture with the goal of creating a job. Never. Job creation is a byproduct of growing a business not a goal.
