Thread: Tea Party "Joke"

  1. #21
Your trolling for ~6 years rarely helped discussion either FF.

In this case, I simply don't take you at your word. I think you're being VERY clear in what YOU think the reason was as to why she made the joke the way she made it, and in what that means to you as a greater representation of the Tea Party as a whole.

So again, stop asking us, and YOU TELL US why you think she made the joke that way. You know as much about her as any of us do, which is nothing I'd guess, and certainly noy enough to know her views on race. So make a point if you have a point.

Better yet, why SHOULDN'T the example be a black person. What kind of racist automaticly assumes that "jokes" or even examples that include Black People are automaticly possible-racism-in-action? What kind of person automaticly assumes that jokes or examples must NOT include Black People? Since this seems to be your position, please explain to us why the joke/example/whatever should NOT use a Black Person.
The example was a "black kid" in this case because the joke wasn't so much about poor people as about claims of racism that she felt were unwarranted: racism = complaining that you are working and moochers are taking the benefits.

But the whole context of the joke reeked of racism, and the woman should be ashamed of herself. "Black mothers tell their children that democracy is white people working to support poor black people"?! Nauseating, through and through.
The comments of one, and the approving reaction of the people attending. I appreciate a number of the TEA Party policy points, but that was absolutely nauseating.
This make 2 reasoned response which I believe is a new JI Record in a Politics thread. :D
You may want to look at your policies then, because your pants-pissing fear over being accurately described as "Social Welfare Statist" or "collectivist" does not in any way change the accuracy of calling, for example, SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE a socialist/collectivist based political ideal.

You know another word for Universal is "Socialized" right?

That the trouble, Liberals in general want policies that undoubtedly more socialist, more collectivist, more bnased of State Power and Authority.....but piss themselves in consternation if their opponents actually use accurate terminology to describe those policies.

Whereas you'll be very hard pressed to find policies I support that are "Racist" in ANY real form. Denying welfare is not racist. Denying Universal healthcare is not sexist.
Socialism:
A political and economic theory of that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated...
(in Marxist theory) A transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.

    Liberalism:
a political orientation that favors social progress by reform and by changing laws rather than by revolution.

It is not the apples to apples comparison that you would have people believe. I am a progressive liberal and I have no desire to see us become a communist or socialist society. But I also have no desire to watch our country become a fascist society either. The reality is that we have a mixed economy and this progressive liberal likes that.
Nice try to turn this around but I'm not biting.

Is it that impossible to get a reasoned response from you?
No more impossible, apaprently, that it is to get you to simply say what you think, rather than this obvious half-ass "All Tea Party People are Racists" example.

I could care less what some dumb twat in Arkan-sauce says. But you, I interact with you almost every day, and frankly it's be nice if you just made your point ffs. Say what you mean. Get to it.

The fake chin-scratching "hmmmm, what does this mean, I just don't understand" BS is just that, BS. You know EXACTLY what YOU think it means, so just ****ing get to it.
Progressives throughout American history have been responsible for much of whatever improvement there has been in the lot of the poor/disenfranchised/minorities. That is not to say that everything has worked or that I agree with all the policies because I don't. But its better then doing nothing and pretending that by doing nothing, things will eventually get better
A disenfranchised minority like this Black gentleman?

A Man of Great Means John Carrurthers Stanly

To New Bern society people, Stanly was considered a gentleman. He owned a home in New Bern (for which he used eighteen slaves) and three turpentine and cotton plantations and other properties in the surrounding Craven County area. He rose to his position by owning and using, as the 1830 census reports, 163 slaves. He often purchased property at a low cost, then selling it at higher prices. Before he hit a series of financial difficulties in the 1830s, his net worth was close to $70,000.00.

The idea that there is not an element of racism in the minds of some of the people who are part of the tea party is ignorant. At the end of the day, the tea party is a collection of human beings and thus flawed. That is the same for any other collection of people.

Yet you support policies that do both at once, providing more State Power (facism) to force collectivism on the individual against their will.

I surrender, between your slippery dishonest terminolgy debate, and FF's chin-scratching deep thoughts pondering of meaning, I just can't ****ing stand it today.

Aren't you the guys who posts things and then says:

    Thoughts?

Heres my opinion. Some people in the Tea Party are racists.

    Now...your thoughts?
And as usual this has zero to do with the original post.

No thoughts on the woman's joke?
There are vastly more intolerant racists, vastly more violence, and vastly more hate and vasly more pro-facist, pro-statist, pro-collectivists/communist in the Liberal-embraced Occupy movement than there has ever been in the Tea Party.

Thats my thought, and given how many of the Occupy seem to loathe the Jews (hey, you're a Jew aren't you?), available to one and all on Youtube for example, I find it very odd and rather crazy that you give a flying **** what some dumb redneck in Arkan-sauce says, when you have masses of people in your own socio-economic neighborhood occupying teh streets, committing acts of violence, and who seem to think Jews just like you are the cause of all the worlds ills and need taken care of.

    Selective party-based outrage, as usual.
Thanks for a reasoned response that neither attacks me personally or goes off on an Obama rant.

This forum could use more of you.
TRANSLATION = we are both libs who think the TEA party is racist.;)

BTW...I didnt listen, I dont care to. I get your point... the joke I am certain is poor.

So your reaction to me saying there are some racists in the tea party is....

    The occupy Movement hates Jews.

I want to make sure I am understanding you. I can't be outraged about one thing, because there are some other worse things.

And outrage about racism is "party-based?"

    Do I have that right?
Do I have that right?
You have the right to do whatever you like FF. You trolololed here for years on end, for example, and nobody stopped you. Not even me, when I could have. If you want to be selective and hypocritical in your outrage now, thats your right too.

My point stands. There is vasly more hatred in Occupy than in TP, hatred aimes against you FF giving you a personal stake, and there is vastly more racism in the NAACP/Black Panthers/CBC than in the TP on it's worst day.

But yes, just like every group of people, there is sure to be racists in the TP too. So obvious a reality, does it really require a thread to point it out?

I guess it does. So you can make the unsaid argument that all TP are racist, which is (I maintain) your real point in this thread.

Is this where I like the Youtube of our Vice President making racist jokes about 7-11's and who owns/works at them?

    Right, only the TP matters.

Well I have to vigorously defend myself on that first point. Nowhere did I say or infer ALL TPs are racist. I know many who are not. I don't paint with a broad brush.

And I guess we all have different opinions on what is post worthy.

    Yes indeed.

For example, today I posted about our President going around Congress to implement the DREAM Act, an action with real meaningful ramifications that can only be described as "vast".

You posted a thinly in ineffectively veiled "All TP are Racists, I thought all they cared about was taxes???" thread because of one doofus in Arkan-sauce.

You're right. I guess we find different things post worthy, given our differening perspectives on importance, and of course who the real racists/hateful are these days.

OK, I'm a liar, your post was more important than mine and I'm a racist.

    Did I miss anything?
