I once bought every chick at an oriental bath house for one hour for a buddy that was getting married...

****er still grins ear to ear whenever someone brings it up.

I'll check back in when I go back and do the same for myself. I'm sure it'll feel like an even better purchase...

My first house I bought in 85 for $52K then sold 2 years later for $82K.:)

Invested about $4K in improvement materials and a lot of labor.

I know someone who bought their house for $12k and it is worth over a million now.

My personal best score is my 55" LED. Got it for $200, the MSRP was something like $2800.

Nothing recently...though this eve...I happened to log on to the site of a bluesman guitarist I love and saw he was swinging through New York later this year. I log on the venue site to see which seats were still available...and I was the first one to log on. Every seat in the house, 20 bucks a pop...were still there. Must have announced the date as I logged on.

Got four first rows for $92 total.

Sept. 30, 2008...bought about $10K in PUTS on the S&P500 when Congress started farting around with the bank bailout legislation. Sold them about 4 months later for a helluva lot more.

Bought $5,000 of DELL in 1995. Sold it right before the bubble to buy a new house. Grew to around 100K.
