    I think a lot of it is seeing it when it came out. Obviously now, after Matrix or others, it seems outdated.

    I saw the first 3 Star Wars when I was 30 and thought they sucked.

    Clearly. But 30 years ago it was outstanding.

    The perfect movie for a remake, updated with today's technology and a return to the even darker intent of what the original movie was supposed to be, but what got cut to pieces by the producers.

    Kind of like the upcoming Total Recall remake, a great movie now redone with no campiness of Arnold.

    This is a pretty decent list, other than 2001 which I thought then as I think now was an overrated bore-fest.
