Ran into Parcells today in Oyster Bay

Having having lunch at the Coach Grill with Dan Henning and a attractive older looking lady. Not sure if it was Henning's wife or Parcells' lady friend.

Said hello, he was very nice. He's looking pretty fit and relaxed.

Pretty cool though, Sean. Too bad you couldn't have picked his brain a bit.

It crossed my mind but I felt a bit douchy asking him to pose for a pic with me. He was very friendly, I didn't want to push my luck.

Did you ask him about the 212 area code phone call from his hotel before the 1996 Super Bowl?

Met him two weekends ago up at Saratoga Lake at a Stewarts.
Told him I was a big Jets fan, felt he needed to know that, ha.
    Nice guy, shook his hand.

parcells is such a carpetbagger it's hard to believe he ever did anything right for the jets. give him credit for getting the jets to a championship game but also makes sure he takes the hit for the bellichicken fiasco and the succession of coaches up to mangini.

If it wasn't for Parcells, Belichick would be the Jets HC today.

2 Super Bowl titles in the last 4 years?

You don't get any better than that.

So you're saying Parcells' greatest Jets accomplishment was helping them avoid the forever-in-history stain of being cheating scum.

    Thanks Tuna!

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Your team hasn't even played in the Super Bowl for 44 years, and you wouldn't take 3 titles in 10 years?

Get off you high white horse.
