This is why you and I get along so well.

I'd prefer the blond (unusually for me).

Stokesy and I have had words over this one before. What kind of supposed German biergarten has Coors Light on tap?

There's a reason those tables are all empty.

By the way, I've met several other of the bartenders there. Those two are the only ones remotely worth looking at.

And yes Warfish, the blonde is cuter.

Adolph Coors was German, which makes Coors sort of German...

kind of like the Olive Garden is Italian.

Uh yeah....I was kidding. I think you're the only nut who would complain about that beer selection.

Look at the taps Stokesy climbed up on a double stool to take pictures of.

Newcastle, Grolsch, Blue Moon Summer, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Abita Purple Haze, Blue Moon, Stella, Hoegaarden, and Coors Light

Nothing unique here. Nothing German. And Hoegaarden, the weakest of the Belgian options? Most of these are crap.

Compare and contrast to a real biergarten menu (this one is in Williamsburg)

    Sheesh--it was 4 o'clock on a Tuesday--some folks have to work

I have the beer menu, trying to figure out how to post a pdf, but it's 44 different draughts and they NEED to have Coors and a few other crap beers for kids who only drink that stuff, but they have large selection of lagers, pilsners, wheats, ales, IPAs, souts and specialty brews from German, Denmark, Czech, Belgium, the UK and some funky domestics. I tasted the Ommegangs Three Philosopher's Belgian Blend and it was outstanding.

The tall blond had a very lithe body, the brunette was a bit more voluptuous, but the little blonde inside pouring the Stiegel was perfect.

    Why don't you like fun?

No, any dedicated beer drinker would also.

I love fun. Which is why I demand it be at the highest level.

P.S. Ommegang is nice, but they are Belgian in style only. They come to us from Cooperstown, NY.

I want to see a little more effort from a Biergarten to offer me some beers that I can't find in my local deli case.

All I'm saying really is this place misrepresents itself. Just because you have picnic tables doesn't make you a "biergarten". You're a bar. A regular old American bar. Which is fine. But don't lie to me.

    Dude, seriously?

These are on the current Draught Beer Menu at Zepplin Hall:

    Ommegang
    Gnomegang
    Ramstein
    Staropramen
    Spaten Oktoberfest
    Shiner Bock
    Steigel
    Radler
    Radeberger
    DAB
    Warsteiner
    Jever
    Konig Ludwig
    Franziskaner
    Paulaner
    Hoegaarden
    Abita
    Hacker-Pschorr
    Leine's Sunset Wheat
    Thomas Jefferson's Tavern
    Boddington's
    Newcastle
    Brooklyn
    Honey Moon
    Pilsner Urquell
    Carton
    Torpedo
    Victory Hop Devil
    Milk Stout Nitro
    Stella

plus about 2 dozen other run of the mill Sam Adams and Blue Moons and Carlsbergs and Hofbraus and regular US beers.

Btw, I went to a REAL Biergarten in Bad Heilbrun Bavaria and they served FOUR beers. And they were ALL awesome--and the locals loved ALL loved of them.

Potato, the thoughts on beer are much appreciated, but we really want to know:

Would you ever drink vodka? or is that the deepest taboo in your family?

    Dude, it's just...a bar.

You don't have to come to the party.

Seriously. Most of the discussion re the Hampur Union involves t!tties, midget tossing and puking.
But now we have to consider venues that reach a certain level for the "dedicated beer drinkers" amongst us.

We should find a joint that only serves Bud and Bud Lite. Just to watch the potato shake. Or perhaps even Killians Red only. It holds itself out as an Irish Ale but is actually brewed in the US, thereby misrepresenting itself.

I might still come. After all, despite my view on this particular location, I am certainly capable of separating it from the enjoyment of the company. After all, as I've stated, I have gone to this bar. I just happen to not like what they are trying to categorize themselves as. Hell, I'd sit in a dirty toilet bowl if I thought I'd have a few good laughs with a few good people.

But before I decide, is this the kind of party where you're not allowed to have opinions?

Listen, bud, I in no way suggested that there shouldn't be a party there.

I just relived an older conversation we once had about this place, and thought I had someone agree with me with your post.

Like I said in my previous post, I would go to this place if that's where a party was.

I apologize for having an opinion and trying to have a discussion about it.
