Mark Sanchez, Braylon Edwards Party All Night After Playoff Loss

After the New York Jets were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Mark Sanchez and Braylon Edwards reportedly partied in New York City until early Monday morning.

According to the New York Post, Sanchez and Edwards, who partied all night after beating the New England Patriots in the Divisional round, "spent more than $2,500" at Chelsea's Juliet Supper Club.

Edwards arrived with six others at 2:30 a.m. after the flight back from Pittsburgh and Sanchez apparently didn't know that his receiver was already there.

The Jets quarterback was said to have been "chatting up the pretty bartender" while Edwards ordered tequila shots for his table.

Edwards reportedly went into the deejay booth and told the crowd that the Jets would be back next season.

A source told Page Six that the club "got all the players drivers" due to Edwards' DUI charge last September.

That's why we cut Braylon, I guess you guys will do the same with Gronk.

Right now, and even back then, Gronk is a better all round TE than Gates. Not to say Gates wasn't dominant as a TE back in the days of LT, but Gronk can do a few things he can't. Maybe Gronk benefits from having Brady as his QB in passing routes, but you can say the same thing of any receiver with a great QB.

I'll also add in there that if Vernon Davis was on New Orleans, New England or Green Bay, he'd be All World.

    Just my opinion.

What sets Gronk apart from Gates, Graham and Davis is his blocking ability.

All 3 are athletic and talented receiving TE's.

That's what Gronk does that Gates can't. VD can block, but not like Gronk.

Gronk is the prototypical TE right now, and is re-defining the position.

Like I said, he also has Brady. If he was on almost any other team people wouldn't be talking about him in the same way.

Hernandez would be the best TE on at least half of NFL teams right now. Gronk , if he can stay healthy, should scare the crap out of defenses.

Hernandez blocks about as poorly as Keller does.

OK but he IMO is better than Keller and better than most. I was unaware of his blocking weakness. is my statement not accurate?

Yep. Plus, he's a grade A jerk off which is one reason he fell in the draft. Was in Florida, is right now in NE.

He's good, but let's not make him out to be something he's not.

Gronk has the goods. Hernandez is a good player.

He'd start in some places, but doesn't have the size to sit on the line on every play. He's not Pettigrew, or some TE like that. He's a VERY small TE.

He's a receiving TE/HB type player. An every down TE he is not.

I think your statement is accurate, and I also believe Hernandez would start on half the NFL teams, including the Jets.

Hernandez is a great receiving TE, has great hands, and always gets yards after the catch.

However, he still can't block worth a crap.

That sums it up pretty accurately.

Too lazy to cut and paste on an IPAD but Hernandez stats place him in top 5 pf many offensive categories. I hear you, but AH is solid.

so I guess you deleted your post calling me an idiot, just because you were proven wrong.

Listen, someday you guys will get this....all the players are the same, regardless of team. Guys like Sanchez and Gronk are gonna party after a loss like that. They need to blow off steam, it doesn't mean they don't care. It doesn't mean they aren't "winners"'. anyone who has made the NFL is a "winner."

and don't feel bad that I schooled you with my knowledge, it happens to the best of Jets fans. except Jordy, that guy knows his ****.

it will be interesting if Pats try to franchise him.

His agent will says he should be paid as a WR.

I'm not disputing his stats, all I'm saying is what kind of player he is.

I'll even submit to you that he could line up in the backfield on every play and be more successful than he would if he lined up as a TE on every play.

    Crazy, but not impossible.
