Other than the fact he is easily rattled when he gets hit early. makes horrible decisions, locks in on receivers, has no pocket presence, has a weak arm, and doesn't seem to be able to read defenses; he has everything you look for in a franchise QB.

The good thing about you guys having Sanchez is that you guys will get a jump start on the Pats to try to find the franchise QB to replace your current QB. The Jets could be very well drafting a QB in the first round in the 2013 draft while the Pats likely won't be looking for Brady's replacement for another 2-3 years.
What is this. Guido Sarducci is not around so you feel the need to fill his troll shoes?

And you seriously don't think there is "uncertainty" at QB position? Have you read the papers since Tebow got there?
I'd rather hear from people who actually "know" football & comment on these things with an open mind.
Bill Polian was guest host on NFL sirius radio & he pegged the Jets as one of the teams with an 8-8 record last year that will be a playoff team in 2012.

He felt that their defense will be top 3 in the league.
He also felt that Tebow is "undefenseable" in goaline situations stating that there are not many teams that could keep him out of the endzone.
He stated that at 250 Lbs & the way he moves it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to stop him in the option inside the 5 yard line.
He said he's strong enough, unlike a traditional QB to withstand the hits you absorb running the option.

Bottom line was that he feels if the Jets can overcome the OUTSIDE pressure & criticism that comes with the NY media, Sparano will be successful in using the ground & pound philosophy, with Tebow being used in short yardage & goaline situations because the Jets defense will be good enough to shorten the game, give the offense great field position & extend drives, which will allow the D to rest, tire out the opposing defense & lead to more offensive plays allowing Sanchez to take a few more shots down the field.

He was very articulate, went into great detail, and actually gave REASONS why this can work for the Jets, unlike these other idiots that throw out things like, "Tebow will be the QB after the 4th game".

speaking of the Pats. Looks like Welker is going on Hair Club For Men on us...

New England Patriots [team stats] All-Pro wide receiver Wes Welker, who underwent a hair restoration procedure last month at Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, will appear later this year in television, radio and print ads with Dr. Robert Leonard to talk about his experience and to raise awareness about hair loss..

“When I was considering hair transplantation I knew that I wanted to work with the best in the field and that is why I chose Dr. Robert Leonard,” Welker said. “Dr. Leonard has a tremendous reputation and his knowledge and expertise helped put my mind at ease throughout the process.”

The five-hour procedure involved transplanting follicles to an area of Welker’s scalp where his hair had started to thin. Welker was immediately able to resume his regular activities, including training for the football season and even wearing a helmet.

“The result of a hair restoration procedure today is dramatically different than the result of a hair restoration surgery two decades ago,” said Dr. Leonard, who has more than 25 years of experience in hair restoration. “Technology is constantly improving, and the tools we have available in my offices today allow for a thicker, fuller, more natural look than ever before.”

Welker, and patients who undergo similar hair restoration procedures, will begin to see new hair growth in as little as four months.

In recent years, Dr. Leonard has also conducted hair restoration procedures on Mikey Adams, host of WEEI’s Planet Mikey Show, former professional hockey player and current WAAF [website] personality Lyndon Byers, as well as hundreds of others.

Welker, who seems to be tackling the aging process head-on, also recently began appearing in ads for Depend adult diapers.

Mmm hmm. Mentioned this the other day. Between the hair and the diapers, Welker is going to get utterly abused by teammates this year.

Well if we see him selling Extenze and Viagra on TV commercials then we will know that he is closing that gap too.

No, he's still too old and takes way too many hard hits for a long-term contract.

See how this year works out, maybe franchise him again for the 2013 season, and then say thanks for the memories Wes.

I would be absolutely shocked if the Pats offer him a long-term deal.

In other words, Wes leaves without a Super Bowl ring.

    Shame.

Wes has $9.5 million reasons for not holding out this year. He basically quadrupled his salary from previous years.

He may be pissed, but he is not stupid.

We all know their defense is garbage and has been for years ever since the cameras went away. It's become alarmingly evident that little Bill is no genius and more a product of systematic cheating and with a lot of help from his buddy Ernie Adams who happens to be the real genius in New England.

Jets just got a little sidetracked last year mostly due to Schittty, but it was more of a correction and not a true indicator of their true potential. Pats are cute, but the Jets will be better than them just like they were in 10 and 09 and even in 08 when Favre was healthy.

One thing's for sure, the Jets don't fear NE since Rex has been the coach here and we have beaten them when and where it counts.

    With all due respect...Crack kills....

Anything's possible, but it would take a perfect game by both our offense and defense, twice, for us to have a chance. It's tough to outscore the Pats. I think most of us would settle for a split.
