We'll sweep the Pats this year...

Take away Brady and Gronk and that team scares no one. Jets are more talented all around. The Jets showed them what they can do when they come in motivated to play in the playoffs (2010) everybody in the media favored the Pats but the Jets came in with led by the kid who couldn't be denied that game, he made throw after throw and we won going away.

We all know their defense is garbage and has been for years ever since the cameras went away. It's become alarmingly evident that little Bill is no genius and more a product of systematic cheating and with a lot of help from his buddy Ernie Adams who happens to be the real genius in New England.

Jets just got a little sidetracked last year mostly due to Schittty, but it was more of a correction and not a true indicator of their true potential. Pats are cute, but the Jets will be better than them just like they were in 10 and 09 and even in 08 when Favre was healthy.

One thing's for sure, the Jets don't fear NE since Rex has been the coach here and we have beaten them when and where it counts.

you have a point. but how do we take away brady and gronk? gronk already is hobbled so we might be able to take his legs out but if you want to really take brady out of the game you better hope coples is the miracle pass rusher that we've been missing

Gronk didn't look hobbled on the dance floor with his shirt off after they lost the SB...I believe Jets steamroll AFC East this year. Super Bowl hangover for Pats

Take away Brady and Gronk? Sure.... Yeah if you take away the best QB and never before seen tight end then yeah, we may sweep. But until then...

Please name a team that if you take away their starting qb and their best offensive player, they still scare you?

I had to stop after that.

Take away Montana and Rice and the 49ers could be had as well.

So long as Brady is taking snaps, the AFCE goes thru NE

Quick question - who is / are the Jets player(s) that are included in the "take away X and Y and the Jets scare no-one" scenario?

Revis? Harris? Do they actually SCARE opponents?

As for sweeping the Pats - yes, it's certainly possible, but it'll need an offense that can light up the Pats D. Not one that scores 17-20 points and hopes that's enough, I'm talking one that can put up 30+ points each game. Personally, I don't think we're there yet. We've had lots of games where we've scored like that, but against the big teams we have struggled so far. We need Sanchez to take that next step before we can do enough damage to the Pats D to beat them in a shoot out.

Not going to happen. The pats will win both games. So we have a bunch of unproven rookies, a new O coach and this makes us that much better? It's a great dream, but only a dream. This team will be lucky to beat the fins ans bills 2 times combined.

The Jets, oh and the Ravens. Possibly the 49ers.

Sad, very sad. Strop you srobbing. We've beaten them plenty over the past few years. Not saying we'll sweep, but you SOJFs kill me.

Take away Brady and Gronk and they don't scare anyone?!?

What if you take away Sanchez and Keller? Well, the Jets will probably be fine in that scenario. But imagine if the Jets had a good QB and they took him away.

If we have a pass rush there is no doubt we will at least split. If our pass rush magically goes from non existent to a similar caliber to that of the giants then we have a great chance to sweep. For that to happen we need maybin and couples to have double digit sacks. I dont see that happening unfortunately
