Shefter: Chicago trades a late-round pick to TB for DT Brian Price

Chicago traded a late-round pick to the Buccaneers for DT Brian Price, per sources.

July 26, 2012 Brian Price was involved in a fracas with Tampa's first-round pick Mark Barron. His physical condition is a question mark because of a hamstring problem.

Buccaneers cut wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe, according to a league source.

The Price pick never made a whole lot of sense to me anyway. They had Miller, a few OK vets, and drafted McCoy in the 1st. DT was simply not a real need in the 2nd. I never like DTs early so 2 seems stupid especially the fact they drafted Al Woods too that year who was almost the same player as Price IMO.

Dezmon Briscoe comes as no shocker either. TB actually has some good young depth at WR someone was going to go. Tiquan Underwood, Sammie Stroughter, Shoemaker, Mike Williams(the good one) and Benn are all fighting over 2 spots. Heck I'm shock Wallace Wright is still on the roster and I like him.
