Can Tebow be a John Riggins type RB?

Can anyone else see him as a John Riggins type back? He has the size, speed, and running ability to scare the sh*t out of defenses. Plus, they'll have to repect his ability to throw.

    It could work.

Please watch the last game against the Pats and tell me who had the **** scared out of them.

And no one respects Tim Tebow's ability to throw.

    Stop the insanity.

John Riggins, the hall of fame running back?

Has the same size, speed, and running ability? Plus can throw?

If there's one thing opposing teams worried about with Riggins, it was the fear that he was going to fire a pass downfield after taking a handoff from the I formation.

    It's a good idea.

    Ahhhh no.

Look, I didn't like the Tebow trade, but if they are goinguse him properly to get anything out of him it's going to be in the wildcat/spread option.

    He's not a running back.

I really think we have the next Steve Young on our hands. But bigger, stronger, faster.

As a Rb, he'll just be 1 option that oposing D's have to repect. I'm not syaing he should be the focal point of the offense. Just an option! Teach him how to block and put him at FB. He can't be much worse than the terminator!

And, Relative to other RB's, Ds will have to repect his ability to throw..

Would love to see him get some carries as a RB

Sure, RBs who run a 4.7 40 generally turn out to be very productive.

Tim Tebow goosing Sonia Sotomayor is very high up on the list of things I'd like to see happen.

he ran a 4.5 at his pro day. Plus he's 240.

Hey, if Lombardi could move Hiesman trophy winning Notre Dame QB Paul Hornung to RB, Rex can move Tebow to RB.

    Right?

You are right, how silly of me to not think he could be the next John Riggins.

Um, no. Tebow ran successfully because he was playing the option offense and so Teams saw him as a QB who was capable of running. He had an element of surprise. If we switch him to RB, you take that element away.

    In short, no. Just no.

Steve Young? You can't be serious.

More like the next Jared Lorenzen...

Considering he has never taken a hand off from the QB, I am going to say its a stretch to say he can transition to a RB. You do know that there is an entirely different dynamic in running from the RB position and running from the QB position?
