So, I imagine the flag business is where you made your fortune?

And still one of my all time favorite skin mags. Not as gritty as Hustler, but showed more of a woman's body (think fur) than Playboy. Also, the women were, more often than not, brunettes (my preference) and gorgeous.

True. But, personally, I never dug the magazine.

Yeah, my shoulder was shot last year. I think I tore the partially tore the rotator cuff and then totally screwed it up playing catch in the parking lot at a Jets game, when I overthrew a pass and nailed a BMW. Ironically, the same BMW I had pissed on earlier.

I'm really looking forward to playing again. With my son being born, tearing the cuff and then surgery, it feels like forever since I've been out there.

We're closed Monday so there will be nobody else playing on the course besides me... which is good since after a year and a half, I'm sure I will be hitting it every way but straight.
I only picked up golf about 6 years ago, and seeing that my oldest son is 5, its been a challenge to sneak in as much as I want to. But, despite my continued struggles (if I approach 95, that's a good round for me - I can't putt), I'm becoming more obssessed with it. I've started reading reviews on golfclub atlas just to learn more about different courses.

My wife arranged for a steak dinner for my birthday for me and my buddies in two weeks. I've just co-opted at least one of them to take the day off with me and play 36 holes at Bethpage (hopefully starting with Black). If that somehow goes according to plan, that could be one of the better days I've had. Something will fuk it up, of course.

Cross, if you want to host the JI golf outing, I'm game.

If there is one place I'm most passionate about, its St. John in the USVI. First went down there about 10 years ago and now try to make it back as much as possible. We didn't get a chance to go down this year, but thankfully we're headed down again in December. I've been to a number of other tropical places - but for my money, I'd go back to STJ every time.

To me, its heaven on earth. The anti-thesis of an all inclusive resort - its the type of place that you throw your snorkel gear in the back of a Wrangler, drive to a beach, park on the side of the road, throw your blanket in the sand and take a beer out of the cooler and just soak in the insane beauty.

The bars are casual, laid back beach bars and the food is great. Its 2/3s National Park so its not over-developed (although no one is ever happy about the current development - but what are ya gonna do.).

I wish I could make money selling flags, just buy them, which reminds me that I need to start getting things ready for Sept 9th and see if there are any Jets flags I do not have...

Look at my screen name and take a wild guess...

I'm the guy that you see on the ocean in the middle of January, with ice forming on his face. It is a passion.

Where I spent 10 days of my honeymoon (1990). Every beach was more breathtaking than the next. Think Maho Bay and Trunk Bay were my favorites. But it's been a while.

Loved driving on those small roads--with insane 180 degree turns--in a beat up Suzuki "go cart". We were once chased by a pack of wild pigs. And what about the wild donkeys?
