    kicking, does it matter?

Will it really matter who our field goal kicker is and if so, who do you want to see lining up to kick the game winner?

When you can't get 6, 3 helps, some times it's the difference. Get 6 and that becomes less of a concern, good kickers have been in short supply lately so Folk is gonna have to do, for now.

Not thrilled with our kicking options, I'm hoping Josh Brown might have some gas in the tank.

Someone posted some very interesting stats last year on kickers, it may have been Jason at NYJetscap.com, apologies if it was someone else.

The essence of it is that kickers have a much greater variance in productivity year to year that non-kicking NFL players. You could have a great kicker one year and have him be very average the next year.

You can have a kicker with great stats in the regular season but average in the playoffs, kicking under extra pressure; which is why the Jets FO got rid of fan favorite Jay Feely a few years ago.

I bet most posters will tell you they are more worried about our punting situation ...
