Wow. That's terrible. Hope he didn't have kids.

    Ugh!

What a mess. You never really know how people are feeling or hurting sometimes. Keep your eyes and ears open to those around you who you care about.

That's such sad news. If I recall correctly, McKinley from Denver had a similar circumstance with an injury that possibly led to his suicide.

God damn. Heartbreaking. Rest in Peace, kid.

Does the league provide mental health support? Is there a specially designed, accessible program where guys like this who feel like they have no outlet can talk to a therapist or something? I'm assuming yes. After several suicides by players in recent years, it might be time for the NFL to step in here more.

I'm sure they have all of those programs in place... but the majority of the people that commit suicide (not the people that just 'attempt' it for attention) won't reach out for the help.

    Yup. Too bad.

But time for the NFL to make it a little more well known that there IS help for these depressed guys. Advertise it. Have mandatory meetings once a year that last less than an hour. Just give these players some awareness.

RIP Man this is really sad. You'd think the would have everything to live for, with the opportunities 99% of people don't get to have. Guess you never can tell. How sad that people are so lonely and depressed out there
