    Question

I mean there's really no reason not to take a chance on this guy. Worse case scenario is that he doesn't get healthy and gets cut. Definitely has potential

Put his locker next to Tebow. Perfect complement. Yin and Yang...

Doesn't he have to clear wavers first ?

There has to be several tackle-starved teams that will give him a physical and do due diligence.

If he becomes available I would sign him to a non-guaranteed minimum contract after week one.

Perhaps. But the doc said there was nothing structurally wrong with the knee so maybe its something else like motivation etc. Jets should look elsewhere for RT depth

Maybe the whole exercise was useful in spooking Hunter and keep him focussed and motivated

I think he'd be a perfect security guy on Hardcore Pawn.

You know, the show where Les (father) and Seth (son) act like tough guys with guys the size of Otah standing nearby.

It was reported that former Dolphin Vernon Carey was on the #Jets short list if Wayne Hunter were to struggle. Well, Carey retired today

Reminds me of that part in the movie "major league" when they announce the players that will be invited to camp and the one guy say, " this guy here is dead" lol

What the hell are you talking about?

A report about Carey, not confirmed from the team in any way, and you want to know what the FO is doing?

Same thing they were doing 6 months ago.

    Going all-in on Wayne Hunter.

Why did Hunter not play in the scrimmage?

Same exact thing the Knicks' FO did with Jeremy Lin:

So all-in they attempted to trade for a broke-knee Otah so he could compete for the starting RT job. Maybe Sparano saw Carey get injured last season and we don't know about it.

    Thumbs down

    @SBJLizMullen
NFL agents & partners Neil Schwartz & Jonathan Feinsod have signed Carolina Panthers OT Jeff Otah. Formerly repped by LMM agency. #NFL

Well there goes any chance that the Jets could sign Otah to a reasonable contract if and when he's ever healthy.
