    Well deserved truly one of the most underrated players to ever play the game when he gets inducted saturday its going to be very emotional for me.

    Why do this opening day though? Why not take some other random game and make it Curtis Martin Day? Would be good for ticket sales too.

    379 of his 580 career receptions were third down conversions for the 1st down. Nobody has worn his number since he retired, which I am sure is no coincidence.

    He was a nice player, one of the defining Jets from that era, but it would be kind of bush league to retire a WR with one 1k yard season.
