Our caddie at Winged Foot was incredible. Clubbed us perfectly just about every shot and his read on the greens was uncanny.

And pretty funny the whole round--it helps if you don't act like a doosh.

Yeah, the good caddies can watch you strike the ball for two holes and then simply hand you a club that has just the right distance.

Had this one caddie at Bay Hill last year who would always tell you a specific club, but 80% of the time he'd say "Just choke down on your 7 iron here". After a while, I just wanted to hit my 8 - I'm not really good enough to constantly be changing my swing. I'd rather hit a full shot and let the chips fall as they may.

    Yeah, that sounds dumb.

So, "Club me, Blazer" is frowned upon?

And being able to carry a full golf bag for 18 holes eliminates the other half.

And he was Arnie's personal caddie for about 3 years. I guess when you own the course, you don't need some shmuck in a white jumper telling you what club to hit.

I'm getting an image of a large golf bag slipping off of Timmy's sloped shoulders.
