For Sale: 2001 New England Patriots *Super Bowl Ring

Apparently, a staff member sold this ring to the seller.

It has a price tag of $63,000.

55 offers so far. all declined.

I don't think a staff member ring is worth near that much.

TX? You can drop the coin for this no?

Does it come with a DVD of The Rams super bowl practices? I might consider it then.

It's received a ton of offers. No idea what the highest one is.

My knowledge of Championship rings is not as strong as vintage memorabilia but from what I do know, a staff ring is probably worth no more than $20K. More likely in the $12-15K range. If it belongs to someone well known, it would be more but there's no indication that it is. This seller is nuts.

An average player from the team probably wouldn't even fetch $63K.

FYI, Kraft gave the staff the same ring he gave players and coaches for that Super Bowl. The other two rings though, the staff rings are cheaper than the players' and coaches' ring.

The staff ring is the same as the players ring.

    There are two options:

    1. Players ring
    2. Players wife ring

That's it. At least that's what it was for the Red Sox.... so I guess I'm just going on assumption that all other teams do the same thing.

The point is, it still says "Staff Member" on the side.

Regardless of their original cost, they don't fetch anywhere near the same kind of money on the secondary market as do player's rings.
