The original poll suggests most male officials played college ball.

I would be shocked if more than 10% of the current NFL officials have ever played football past high school. Want to bet?

Best NBA ref is a woman.

    Who cares about this?

I heard they can only work as the Back Judge.

Great. Gloria Allred will now ingratiate herself into the NFL somehow...

    I say No.
But only because of that motherly instinct thing which may lead to even more Roughing Penalties and Late Hits, you know, things of the sort.

Why a woman would want to officiate a football game is beyond me but hey equal rights are equal rights.
So for me it's in the leagues initials:

    Not For Ladies.

Makes sense. Jets already have a female backup qb.

Another example of the oral transformation of language by people who don’t read much. “For all intents and purposes” is an old cliché which won’t thrill anyone, but using the mistaken alternative is likely to elicit guffaws.

They can "officiate" from the sideline while waving pom poms.

This whole "equal rights" crap is getting out of hand.

How many times have we seen refs get bowled over or mixed up in a pile after a play? Just the other year that one ref face planted in one of our games and busted his face all up.

Now, what the hell do you think is going to happen to some little 120 lb chick if she gets caught up in one of those scuffles?

I thought of this as well. Or how about when coaches start cursing, or when they argue with the referee. Will the demeanor of the coaches stay the same?
