Jets waive John Griffin, awarded Jeremy Stewart off waivers

Per Vrentas et. al. on Twitter.

Only thing I know Jeremy Stewart for is knocking over his teammate (wisely) in the end zone.

Jets still scouring for talent. This Stewart seems like a guy with the presence of mind that can make a difference in the pros

Too bad Leon Lett didn't have a guy like this back in the day.

    John Griffin ‏@FlightPhase
High ankle sprain kept me from ballin out I was unable to practice....this is a tough business and a tough game I'll be back tho

Real ball players kno ballin out is easy it's what they do ....it's staying healthy healthy and being patient that causes issues

Injuries suck but it's part of the game I was once told if I want it I'll get it and if I don't that just means I didn't want it bad enough

More importantly, only one UMASS player left on the squad. Griffin was gonna be our Victor Cruz (I'm not holding my breath on Vlad).

I believe I prophesied this when Ganaway and McKnight were cut. It's not the equipment guy. It's the guy that sews the nameplates.
