In which case we'll trade a conditional 7th for another Scahlerhaselhoff, or grossly overpay for an aging vet that may be done, or close to done. No team is trading their starting RT, obviously, and we'd have to blow a team away to land a youngish, starting caliber RT.
Is there even one RT we can get for a 4th or less that will be better than what we have (which is not much)?
Guys let's be realistic, we made a low risk high reward move trading for Otah and it didn't work out. No one is gonna release there starting RT, when OL is one of the most important positions in football. The chances of us pulling off a Bryant McKennie signing are slim
Let's just pray Sporano can make Hunter better, or Austin Howard is really Jeremy Lin in disguise...
There is no question that Hunter was terrible last year. But... remember the year before when he filled in for a few games? He played pretty well and that was why the FO thought they could start him last year. My point is that was proof that he is capable of playing well. So what happened last season? Who knows. At this late stage I can only hope that he goes back to being the person he was 2 years ago. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, we'll be OK. <fingers and toes crossed>
