A lot of you are thinking McKnight is much better because he got a lot more snaps the other night. You can't evaluate what you can't see. Bilal Powell is a much better bet to stay healthy and durable. Joe McKnight will easily go down for the season if they start giving him too many carries between the tackles. His body isn't built to endure that kind of punishment.
Besides, why would you want such a lazy punk starting?
In all honesty , I don't think this CS have a clue what ground and pound is. I think Rex likes it because it sounds good with a great defense. If they did , they would have the right persons for ground and pound right now since its four years already. A stout O line,a blocking TE and atleast one big down hill RB.
I'm all for working McKnight into more of a feature back with a fresh bruiser in Greene rushing strong during the second half. McKnight brings more big play capability. But then again, I'm all for our coaching staff using a bruiser in Greene for a physical style of approach, with McKnight being the change of pace and hopefully gamebreaker. A thunder lighting/lightning thunder duo, either or, I'm just glad to see our backup having a productive camp regardless of who starts. Greene has earned the starting role thus far, putting up a productive season behind a struggling offensive line. Coming through in the clutch during postseason play. It's now up to McKnight to continue emerging.
Agreed. Bring Green in as more of a Mclain type of back like baltimore use to do. Mcknight is there best back by far right now.
