Jordan White broke his foot months ago, Kerely hurt his hamstring (reported as an actual tear not just as a strain) on the first day of camp.

How is that even a fair comparison? Now, did Kerely hurt his hamstring because he came into camp out of shape? - that's a different argument.

anyway you put it something is not right.. Rex wouldn't be down on him if the injury was as serious as he says.

While I hope Kerley comes back and has a huge impact. Missing training camp hinders his growth.

That's what Rex seemed to indicate, but we don't really have any way of knowing the true story.

Not totally sure, but the first day of camp hamstring injury for Kerley was a re-injury. Kerley first hurt his hamstring in OTAs/minicamp.

Rex alluded to the fact that Kerley wasn't in shape during the offseason workouts and that carried over into him getting re-hurt at the start of camp.

Well Rex does not exactly have a history of talking down his players does he? He also alluded to him not knowing the new offense as well as the other guys either.

Man. Over-reaction is running rampant here at JI.

    Kerley will be fine.

Plus Richardson is DE. He played well Friday but we are deep at that position with Wilk, Devito, Coples, and Dixon in front of him. I think Sapp is safe as we are pretty thin at OLB and apparently he's had a great camp up to the injury. Pretty sure Dowtin is ILB and has experience at Safety in college but I could be wrong. He will need to produce on ST as we are pretty deep at ILB too.

And also didn't seem to be putting in the classwork during the offseason to pick up the new system

Are the Jets the only team whose beat reporters put out passing stats in training camp practices? I don't see any other reports on Twitter like these.

    Not good:

Kimberley A. Martin ‏@KMart_LI Stephen Hill's right ringer wont bend. Not sure if it's dislocated or broken. Said it happened during team drills vs Revis. #nyj

WR with a broken finger? Sucks but not unexpected... Sucks more that he's a rookie and we're depleted at the position...

The only solace I'll take out of this is that Tanny may actually pull something off now...

Could it be jammed? You know when it fills up with blood and you can't bend it?

    Maybe?

    Hopefully?

New York Jets ‏@nyjets #JH Sanchez with 25-yard completion to WR Jordan White who gets the catch over Revis.

Nice 20+ yard catch by Jordan White on a pass from Mark Sanchez. #Jets

Brian Costello ‏@BrianCoz Beautiful catch by Jordan White on the sideline #nyj

Pretty sure White will make the roster.
Jordan White is seizing the opportunity!

When guys like Holmes and Kerley sit for several weeks it opens a door and you get to see some guys who would have never gotten so many reps. By all accounts, White is going for it and can smell a roster spot. I think he'll be in the mix with Turner for the 5th WR spot.
