No Huddle- pick up tempo on Offense

Since it seems that we can't get out of our own way on Offense,

why not run the no huddle? The Buffalo Bills had great success during the early 1990's,

and the Jets should do the same. Try.

It seems like we are always waiting for opposing Defenses to bring it to
    us.

Why not keep them off balance? We are wasting plays. Time after time.

up tempo. some success. That all we need to start visiting the endzone,

other than going to locker rooms in between halfs and for injury.

cant be much worse than than the debacle unfolding before us.

I think our guys are struggling with the current tempo. Speeding things up might make it worse.

All we heard early on in TC was how the offense was running more plays than years past b.c of the tempo was up. Maybe we sacrificed quality for quantity. We need to walk before we can run. And right now we are crawling.

Not a bad idea. We could be the first hurry-up-ball-control offense in history.

Our three and outs would eat up about 45 seconds of clock.

Reminds me of the beginning of the 45-3 NE game.

Where is the uptempo pace that Sparano was preaching all camp? Wasnt that something that we were told was going to change? I can see not wanting to show certain plays or packages in pre-season, but wouldnt you want to at least practice the uptempo pace in pre-season? We have seen nothing to that effect.

We have been snapping the ball with 10-15 seconds or so on the play clock (at least in game 1 we were, I didn't notice in game 2), as opposed to the snap with 1 second left strategy that Schotty employed. So, I think they are picking up the pace a bit - or at least trying to.

It will never happen. Rex does not care how they fix the offense.....unless it has a direct negative impact on his defense.

Sparano also promised to rip out all the smog equipment and get the offense breathing and flowing freely again.

So far we've seen none of that.

Whatever. The object of preseason isn't to blow out the opponent. There's no point in wasting snaps on things you already know will work.

FWIW, the last time Jets lost their first two preseason games they were learning a new offense and ended up going to the AFCC.

Anything is possible. There's also a strong possibility that Sparano is a worse OC than a HC.

His record shows a pattern of slow starts.

The bonehead OL coach he brought along is another strike against him.

Week One vs Buffalo will be huge.
