    None of this talk about Cruz matters. If he was on the Jets he would be JAG because our QB is, at this point, average to below average at best. Great QBs make receivers great. Look what happened to Larry Fitzgerald once Warner left. His numbers became ordinary. Eli Manning is one of the top 5 Qbs in the league right now. Put any average receiver on his team and they will automatically become an above average to star receiver. i.e. Wes Welker before and after the trade to NE. Now, take an already elite receiver and pair him with a star QB and you get the first two years of Randy Moss and Tom Brady. The NY Jets have, unfortunately, never had a top five QB, outside of the one year Testaverde brought us to the AFCCG hence, our lack of success.

    Tanenbaum is a fraud as a GM and belongs nowhere near a football team but you can't blame him for not drafting or signing Cruz. Cruz turning out to be the player he is, was just the Giants' good fortune. Jerry Reese or the Giants' front office can't really be credited either.
