X-rays negative on Amukamara’s right ankle

Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara gave his team a scare during Friday night’s preseason game against the Bears, getting carted off in the first quarter with a right ankle injury.

CBS reported that X-rays came back negative on Amukamara’s ankle, however, and the Giants listed him as “questionable” to rejoin the action.

Amukamara doesn’t figure to return to a preseason game at less than 100 percent, but it appears the G-Men can breathe a sigh of relief. He may only have a day-to-day tweak of the ankle.
I still think it might be an Achilles. Looks like he hurt it when he was pushing off. Hopefully he is OK. Hate to see guys get hurt like that.

**Edit** Giants are saying it is a high ankle sprain.

Giants better hope Eli stays healthy. Carr is terrible.

The Falcons ran vanilla defenses too. They didn't disguise blitzes or anything

That's just how they play defense. They sit back and play zone. That's why they made the trade for Samuel, he's perfect for what they do. Defense that relies on execution instead of scheme.

    Where are the Pats trolls?

If the Jets looked this bad, it would already be ESPN's #1 story, and this board would have thrown up all over themselves, and each other.

That Amukamura injury didn't look good.
The jets have a total 3 field goals in two games. Yup, we're doing much better than them.

hey its preseason. our offense has not game planned a thing. plus when the games counts, tebow the savior will be behind center for a ton of snaps. rex deosnt want to show the wildcat, keeps the d guessing what is coming next.

So its preseason for the jets but regular season for everyone else? I know its preseason but don't criticize other teams when our team is playing like s**t.

What do Brady and the Pats have to prove in a pre-season game?

Last year in the Pats 3rd preseason game, Brady completely sucked against the Lions and then tossed for over 500 yards against the Phins in the opener.

Worry about your own anemic offense, the Pats will once again have a top 3 offense when the games count.

And like the Jets, still not good enough to win a Superbowl...
The Pats are lucky they are in the AFC. Giants, GB and Saints all have better qb's and better defenses.

I can give a crap about the score of a pre-season game, the starters aren't playing a lot, and they aren't running real plays and sheming what the offense will do in the regular season.

Brady and the Pats' starters didn't even play in their last game, and they looked like complete **** in the first game too, yet only Jets fans are jumping out of buildings because the Jets haven't scored a TD.

And don't tell me what to do, the Pats looked like hot garbage in the most meaningful pre-season game, the dress rehearsal, against a mediocre team that is also going through a coaching regime change. If that were the Jets last night, this board, talk radio, fans would be livid demanding firing and cutting of every damn coach and player on the team, so save it.

Once again, you demonstrate that you know absolutely nothing about football.

Brady finished 13/20, 127 yards and a TD to Gronk with a perfect pass. He led the offense on two long, time consuming drives with several 3rd down conversions. The pick 6 was on a batted ball.

How many scoring drives has Sanchez led the Jets so far?

Oh yea, the answer is zero.

And half of those numbers were against the Buc scrubs.

I watched the game you jackass, they looked like ****.

The pick 6 was a bad pass, period, it was thrown into triple coverage

The Pats looked like hot garbage on both sides of the ball

The point was not so much what the Pats did, but if the Jets had performed that way, there would be many here that would be screaming their chicken little asses off.

And I told you to STFU

Tannehill's off to a bad start. Brady just threw a pick 6.

High point of the preseason for the Jets.
Are Pats fans clamoring for Mallet yet?

I was pretty impressed with the dolphins defense. After looking like hell the first two games, they came out and shut down Atlantas offense pretty well.

I wasn't quite buying into the whole Tannehill is going to struggle because of the recievers thing, but after watching the game, you guys are completely right. Our recievers are absolutely horrible. Bess is reliable but he's only going to do so much. Hartline will help once he gets back in, but he's only a number 2 at best. Tannehill's stats looked pretty poor, but he probably had 5 dropped passes, including a touchdown drop. Dropped passes are the most frusterating thing I can go through. It's their job! Catch the damn Ball! I thought tanny showed some poise, but it's going to be a long season, and these recievers are going to make Tannehill look alot worse than we will be. No seperation, and a bunch of drops. Granted, he didn't play great, but if the recievers caught the ball, I could at least say he played well. Very dissapointing, but reality is starting to set in. At least maybe it will make him better in the long run, having to fit the ball into tighter windows. We'll see.

    Wrong.

If Sanchez led the Jets on 2 long TD drives, converting several long 3rd downs, and throwing a perfect strike for a TD, 95% of Jets fans on this board would be doing back flips.

Only the 5% of Tebowite Jets fans would be pissed.

Exactly. Then pre season would mean something. And our problems would be solved and Sparano would be the best OC in the NFL.

I think it is called "selective homerism"

Hey look, DDNY is piggybacking again, and sucking up to Pats fans.

Have some pride, and practice what you preach, chump.

Jets fans who know the game, would be happy that the team looked good when the games mean nothing and defenses aren't scheming

In the case of the Pats, they just flat out looked like ****

There appear to be major issues on the OL and the defense doesn't look improved, but we'll see when the games count.
