OG are not often selected in the first round. When they are, they often become Pro Bowlers: Alan Faneca, Steve Hutchinson, Ben Grubbs, etc.

    UPDATE:

Steelers g David DeCastro dislocated his knee cap, tore his medial collateral ligament and suffered some damage to patellar tendon. But his anterior cruciate ligament is intact, according to sources and Steelers still are unsure if or when he will be able to return this season.

saw alot of posters saying this guy should have been the first round draft pick instead of coples.

We can play the "what if" game all day but when a guy blows his knee out before his first real game, that's a fairly decent sign the Jets dodged a bullet. No we don't know for sure what he would have done as a Jets player, but all accounts had him struggling with the physicality of the game.

With Decastro out and Adams on the shelf the Pittsburgh steelers OL re-make is not getting off to a good start. Remember that Linemen take years to get good (faneca for example took 3 years before his first pro bowl). Taking this players is a move for 2015 not a move for 2012.

David DeCastro out for season with torn ACL, MCL

    By Ian Rapoport
    Reporter, NFL.com and NFL Network

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie guard David DeCastro has torn his anterior crucaite ligament and medial collateral ligament in his righ knee, a source with knowledge of his condition confirmed Sunday.

An MRI revealed that DeCastro, the Steelers' first-round draft pick, suffered the season-ending injury on the team's second drive of the game against Buffalo Bills in Saturday's 38-7 victory.

The guard got tangled up with Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus on a pass play when Pittsburgh tackle Marcus Gilbert landed on the back of DeCastro's right leg.
