Why we wasted a 5th on him when no one was looking at him sums up Rex's personnel ability.

Jets running game is a train wreck of mediocrity.

Why don't they quit piss-farting around and sign MJD?

He'd be a major difference maker instantly; money well spent.

    Just f-ckn DO IT.

For me, it's just so blurred due to the OL's piss poor protection and blocking. It's really hard to tell what you've got when the team surrounding said player doesn't help.

My hope is that the CS chooses to not make any knee jerk reactions until ALL of the preseason games have been completed. Try to get a RT and a blocking TE. Then, audition these players when they actually can get some support from their teammates.

Until that happens, I think these discussions of bubble players is really absurd.

Teams do draft players to fit their system and philosophy and they do target these kind of players in the late rounds.

Rex was a leader in scouting out Coples who other teams liked as well, so your point is dumb.

Maybe because MJD is not a FA? The team can't just sign him, they would have to trade for him, then make a decision to sign him.

I think he's at least serviceable. You don't think he can do anything?

I also don't believe that the offense has attempted anything remotely close to what it's going to run opening day.

Don't mind TebowNutRider. He's as uninformed as can be.

The short yardage stuffs from Connor in Giants game wasn't really all his fault, the O line got no push and the Giants are pretty dam good at stuffing short runs. Just ask Mike Smith. He's probably making the 53 by default but if someone better gets cut from around the league, I'd hope Tanny doesn't hesitate to show him the door.
You neglected to mention that Baker also has value on ST's. Conner does not.

The offense is too poor at this point to waste roster spots

What's dumb is suggesting that Rex is a talent evaluator on the offensive side of the ball.

    Coples plays defense.

Talking TONY RICHARDSON SO SO VALUABLE FOR US, MISS HIM

... I've been disappointed also; shows that PERHAPS Rex is not the judge of talent we thought he was or he Thinks he is. JC was one of his projects ; he also was in love with Plax Burress and Derrick Mason and those moves cost us a lot last year.

... With a quality H-back type , plus Tebow= it makes John Conner expendable for sure.

I seen Connor playing on ST's a lot. He's usually part of the 2 man wedge on kick returns. I'm not sure if he's on punt team though.

LOL. Just one more example of "Ground and pound" without the personnel.

The key word in my comment was "value."

    Baker adds much more value.

What does Baker do that his "value" is much more than Connor's?

Pretty sure Conner wasn't scouted for his offensive ability only, Rex had some interest because of his ability to blow people up, which I would agree by some in this thread, Conner has not yet lived up to the traditional role of the type of FB he is.

Even DUMBER, is you jumping into yet another thread, throwing out your two cents, and completely **** up the conversation.
