Sign Ocho and TO for a last-man-standing shot at a roster spot for next week against Philly - with McElroy and Simms slinging them the ball. Serious entertainment . . .

I just think the fact of Plax being as tall as he is would be a big benefit. Sure he can't stretch the field, but he sure can go up and get it.

We have a possession receiver in Holmes. We have a speedster in Hill. We have a slot on Kerley. We just need a red zone threat and I feel like that is Plax. ESPECIALLY for a vet minimum.

I would do it in a second!!!! Simply for the red zone fact and the coverage he'd require............He would open up options for other receivers, TEs and dumps to backs. C'mon Tanny, do it!

Exactly! He was the reason we led the league in red zone efficiency last season. There was two balls thrown into the endzone tonight that would've been touchdowns if Plax was the receiver. We need another proven veteran WR2 bad because Hill just doesn't look ready for the full-time responsibilities. Hill definitely needs a year before we can trust him imo.

    As opposed to...

Schilens who is ALWAYS HURT and sucks when he actually does manage to get on the field.

    Turner who just plain blows.

We need a Receiver so bad it is ludicrous.

At this point it's time to say screw it, sign TO, or go after Ramses Barden once the Giants cut him. We have nothing at the WR position after Tone.

If Plax wasn't done he'd be on an NFL roster right now, and nobody had a close up view of his skills more than the Jets last year. They obviously want nothing to do with him.

Dont think for a minute that Plax was not in the ear of Santonio last year during the offensive struggles down the stretch. The Jets do not want to go down that road again.

I could see them entertaining Plax after Week 1 so his salary wouldn't be guaranteed.
