Thread: ESPN's Hoge: Jets should move Tebow to running back

Tebow is not fast enough to be a RB. But I think he'd make a great FB. Think Mike Alstott for Tampa Bay.

It's scary how this guy could become our starting QB if Sanchez gets hurt. The reps that Tebow is taking should be given to a viable backup QB. It's ridiculous what's going on.
It's absolutely ridiculous he led a floundering team to the playoffs, and a win over The Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs.

Sorry if you need to see Elroy McElroy throwing quails all over the stadium to realize he's not the answer. Tebow brings a different set of skills, that I look forward to watch this season and more

Hopefully we'll see Tebow on the field WITH Mark and used in a TE capacity, between ridiculous wildcat plays

Then that means Cro is gonna become Dieon. I mean, if one guy did it then everyone can do it.

See how that doesn't make sense?

Maybe Tebow can do a lil pitching for the Yanks on the side.

I'm not saying he couldn't be successful in the backfield, but I'm not sold on his scrambling skills translating to scripted RB style runs.
    this guy gets it.....

my guess would be that he is shipped out week six for a late draft pick from jacksonville

imho they need to use tebow much like green bay used hornung. i suspect the jets have already found out if tebow can catch the ball. as a runner, he may not have fast 40 speed but he sure has good game speed and he has the knack of finding open places to run. and he's big enough to punish just about any secondary player in the process.

they have something brewing for him.

It's very suspect. Since when does a backup QB sit out the last preseason game.

I still say that Tebow's best position is what Josh Baker was, FB/TE. Can he catch? We don't know, but Tebow has to get in space and he won't playing RB.
    This.

    He led?

If he was a more competent QB, that Broncos team could probably have won more games once their defense and running game started clicking. They won in spite of his poor play at QB.

Tebow would be a perfect HBack. He's not fast enough to be a full time RB, but he's more athletic than a FB. An Hback would take advantage of his unique skill sets. I was hoping this was what we had in mind.

Exactly. Denvers D kept games low scoring and the team STILL had to have 4th quarter comebacks. Do Tebowites not realize what that means?

Denver had to have 4th quarter comebacks because Tebow stunk it up for 3.5 quarters beforehand. And even then, it was often Matt Prater kicking 50 yarders to decide the game.

    Tebow is all hype.

Tebow would be the Wayne Hunter of Running Backs.
