I think he's definitely worth a look for the Josh Baker role.

Redskins release Chris Cooley. Should we be interested?

The Redskins have released tight end Chris Cooley.

I think he's at least worth a look. Our team is in desperate need for weapons

Don't know how much he has left in the tank but Sparano compared
Baker to Cooley so you would think we would take a look. But are
we more likely to look for a blocking TE than a receiver

    They're not.

He also won't be on the market long, he'll be a Skin again shortly if local reporting on this is accurate.

The Jets are so thin at TE this is a No Brainer. Make the call Tanny.

I don't remember what Cooley did last year but if he still has game yes by all means. Has to be a better option then Cumby.

Listen, if I want to get worked up and excited about something that is probably out of the realm of possibility and would also probably just be a dissapointment, then let me do so without your logic, alright?

    Don't take this from me

We already have a better tight end on this team, and his name is Tim Tebow.

What the Jets really need is a big Blocking TE. They should wait until final cuts to see who's let go. I'm hoping Fasano is cut by the Fish.

    the local reporting is off.

Cooley requested the release. He wants he's on the outside looking in, in DC. It's a good move for both parties as Chris probably has one last career push left in him for a couple years.

I'd look him for sure. We're starved for ball catching talent ATM.

Cooley lost like 25 lbs this offseason. He looks to be in great shape. I think he would be great here and still has something in the tank.

    Sign him.
