Leberfeld: Mike Tannenbaum is supposed to address the media today

    Dan Leberfeld ‏@jetswhispers
Mike Tannenbaum is supposed to address the media today, but there seems to be a delay, so it makes you wonder if something is going on

"I don't have a time that Mike will be down. I will keep you posted as best I can." - Jets spokesman on Mike Tannenbaum presser today.

    Where is Jason Smith?

Rex said that Tanny would be addressing the media later today.

Did the Smith trade become "official" yet? Rex made it sound as if they were waiting for it to become official. Said that would happen around 4pm.

Jets claimed P Spencer Lanning off waivers from the Browns.

There's the source of the hold-up.

No way. This is either a FA signing or a trade. Or nothing at all.

Jets have ammended the Hunter-for-Smith trade.

Quinton Coples is now going to St. Louis while the Jets are getting another former top-10 pick by the name of Vernon Gholston.
