    No touchdowns? No problem

Good read, maybe were making too much of the preseason struggles

The essence of the article is that our defense can carry the load while our offense gets up to speed. However there is one thing the author is not taking into account: If the offense can't stay on the field that means the defense will be staying on the field. And that means the defense will get tired.

We MUST see some offense (and I think we will) or we are doomed.

This was the biggest problem last year. Our defense was on the field so much they were just gassed by the fourth quarter. The 49ers are a great example of what we could be if we have an offense that can stay on the field long. They infrequently got touchdowns (they got mostly FGs) but because they could hold the opposing offense to low scoring they were able to win games. That's the formula this team wants to use but we are missing the element of an offense staying on the field. We don't need superstars or a million big plays, we need efficiency and strategy.
